The Coconut Downtown Reviews
I love Thai food, so I've eaten at a ton of Thai restaurants all over the world... this is the best I've ever had. Absolute perfection! Service is incredible too! Can't wait till our next visit!
Came down for dinner tonight with a friend and had the salmon red curry and pot stickers! Fabulous!! Thank you Coconut Downtown for a great night out.
Visiting from Lake Havasu City, I was craving my red curry with chicken, shrimp, and pineapple. I have named my creation, “The Wild Boar Special.” Mo was always right there when we wanted him and one of the Thai ladies was awesome to chat with about the soccer team and the Thailand cave rescue. Wish I had gotten her name. she wasn’t afraid to make it hot like I asked either. Also the cheese wontons, everything was delicious. And big portions and fair price!

The Coconut Downtown is a popular Thai restaurant in Reno, known for its delicious and affordable dishes. The menu offers a variety of options, including appetizers, curries, and noodle dishes. The chicken wing appetizer is a favorite among customers, and the pad see ew and grilled chicken with spicy sauce are also highly recommended. The restaurant offers customizable spice levels, from 1 to 5, to cater to different tastes. The staff is friendly and attentive, although service can be slow during peak hours. Despite this, the restaurant is a great value, with prices lower than most other restaurants in Reno. Many customers praise the food's perfect cooking, especially the green Thai curry with sticky rice, coconut shrimp, and cashew chicken, which are described as amazing. The mango sticky rice with coconut ice cream is highlighted as a perfect dessert after the entrees. Parking after 6 pm is easier, but finding a spot earlier can be challenging. Overall, The Coconut Downtown is a great choice for those who love Thai food and are looking for a tasty and affordable meal.
