Best kept secret in the Brewery district! The Jesse will far exceed your expectations when it comes to hospitality, seclusion, and customer service. Initially, you may be hesitant with the nearby bus station, soup kitchens, and homeless people nearby but once you enter the property, you're shutoff from the outside world. In the morning, the lounge is transformed into a coffee shop (Forged Roasting Co.) and is the best way to start your day. Their beans are freshly roasted and the breakfast pie is addictive. In the afternoon/evening, the mixologists arrive and the cocktail lounge is alive. Their mixologists are experienced, meticulous, and craft the greatest drinks. The restaurant (Estella | Tacos y Mezcal) compliments the evening with hand crafted tacos and other cantina delights. When it's time to turn it in, head upstairs to one of the six unique, artful rooms that bridge the old Reno with the new Reno. If you're looking for a gem, this boutique hotel will not disappoint and I guarantee you will be back.

This is a very cute space to stay in while in Reno. The hotel looks just like the photos online and was easy to find. Parking was easy and the check in process was efficient. If you read the reviews and information posted there will be no surprise that you can hear pretty much every noise outside of the building. Also there are steps. I took away one star because when we opened the mini fridge there was a to go box in there.

We were headed to my husband's holiday party across the street and decided to get a room at the Jessie last minute. Luckily they had a room available although it was a Sunday. It is such a charming place. I loved the brick walls and simple decor and art. The bathroom has a nice large updated shower. However there isn't really any counter space in the bathroom for getting ready. My only complaint is the mirror situation in the bathroom of our room. The mirror above the sink is pretty small round mirror but it is so high I could only see my eyes and forehead. There is a bigger mirror on the wall across from the toilet but there is no outlet there which made it very difficult when trying to curl my hair. After we got ready we wanted to check out their bar downstairs before we headed to our party. They have a pretty extensive line of spirits to choose from. We have a few signature drinks that were fantastic. Overall I would highly recommend this place to anyone!! Such a more homey feeling than your typical hotel!! Even if you don't need a place to stay I recommend checking out the bar!

Absolute gem. I have only been to Estella and the bar but we are so lucky to have such a progressive concept in Reno!

AVOID. Had camping items stolen from my truck. No remedy from management. Parking lot is NOT private, NO gate, NO security, NOT monitored. Located on a main thoroughfare between a soup kitchen and busy bus stop. Do the math. Otherwise cute rooms & friendly staff.

The inside felt very San Francisco hotel vibe. Restrooms were clean and stocked. Suggestion: toilet covers :) Plenty of outdoor sitting. New tables and chairs, or at least new looking :) Bar had an all glass window looking at 4th street. Servers were helpful and awesomazing. Has a small parking area but plenty of street parking. Tostadas were amazing :) crunchy, flavorful and yummilicious! Salsas were too! Kid had the corn one, she's not a big fan of spicy stuff (still training her). Definitely a great hang out place. Would recommend.

For a great coffee and cool atmosphere come to The Jesse. Just a couple blocks off downtown Virginia Street (near the Row) and around the corner from Bowling Stadium, this place is worth the stroll. It's a coffee house by day and bar by night. Nick, my favorite barista extraordinaire makes amazing cappuccino's and occasionally at my request will surprise me with one of his delicious coffee creations. If you're a local like me or coming to hangout in Reno, this place is worth the visit. Don't settle for an expensive coffee chain place, come experience the excellent service and chill vibe of The Jesse.

Our E bikes were stolen (Locks Cut with power tools) 8' from the Front Door Entrance to The Jesse! Advertises 'Private Parking' - YET - Owner (name is Piper) refuses to file a claim with her Insurance Carrier! Would you stay here? Would you do business with Piper? Maybe inside job... The way they didn't care??

DO NOT STAY HERE! This self designated "boutique hotel" is unsafe and dangerous! STOLEN PERSONAL PROPERTY AND THE HOST TAKES NO RESPONSIBILITY! We parked in the PRIVATE parking lot of The Jesse and had our $5k eBikes stolen, even double locked with a BRINX. This property is a different atmosphere than portrayed. Although a charming courtyard and bar, we had to receive our key from...the bartender. First red flag. No mention that the stairs to our room are EXTREMELY STEEP. Upon entering the room, it seemed hip enough, with the bed being comfortable and the tall brick walls felt like a loft. The bathroom door, however, has a clear glass panel on it, so while in the shower, if the room door is left ajar, the shower and toilet are completely exposed to the stairwell. Earplugs are necessary as there is constant yelling and screaming from the extensive transient population heading to the bus station next door. Cleanliness is also an issue for this room. With a layer of dust on things like the window sills, where you can sit, to the foot stool and even the bathroom sink had a layer of grime from the previous guest. White socks show no floor cleaning between guests. We left after checking in and did not arrive back to the hotel until 9:20pm, to find the building completely dark and locked. We received no warning or were advised of this. We finally found a door, with a metal graffiti plate. This was the key pad? Stepping around an addict yelling at us while entering was NOT FUN.

Jesse is just awesome. The drinks are top notch and a little unusual. The hotel is not prepossessing on the outside, but inside it's just great, with a warm welcoming courtyard and beautifully furnished interiors and room with high ceiling. The attached restaurant, Estella is the best tacos in Reno. We go at least every two weeks.

This was one of the nices places we stayed at on our road trip. The design and layout of our room was classy chic. Each room had real glassware not plastic, how nice. The staff struck up great conversations and were accommodating, helpful and fun. Our room was above the bar/restaurant which was so convenient. We had such a pleasant experience, we will definately be returning. You must try a night here!Nearby activities: Casinos, main downtown, shopping and bowling stadium ad well as earteies galore, nightlife, breweries, distilleries and more.Walkability: We came fir a bowling tournament, it wad literally 2 short blocks away.
