I read Thalia and chandlers review. I was there when they “experienced disrespect”. Honestly these 2 and their friend were some of the most disrespectful people I have ever ran in to. They ran up on stage while people were singing, thinking it was funny. One of the 3 grabbed the mic and started to scream into the mic while someone was singing. They were the disrespectful ones that night. There’s a difference between having fun and being a complete mess. It’s sad when a couple of entitled people get a few drinks in them and embarrass themselves. Do better girls. The owners(Paul and Gina) are some of the nicest people I have ever met. Go to the point and support every singer and don’t jump on stage while others are singing to try to be funny like Thalia and chandler. I remember when I had my first beer ?.

Extremely disappointed with this place. Growing up in Reno and coming here often, we are all the sudden ostracized for wanting to join in on others songs. Apparently it’s “rude” to sing-a-long and want to have fun. Won’t be back. Lost a lot of good customers. If I could do zero stars, I would.

The MC was extremely rude. He called my friends and I out in front of the whole place. We left early because he made us extremely uncomfortable. I don’t appreciate that. We were holding the mic and singing. Sheeesh what a terrible vibe. That guy should be fired. If I could rate this a zero I would.

This is the best place to do karaoke in Reno. It's small so get there early or you probably won't get a seat, The bartender gives great service AND she sings! The lyrics come up on the screens throughout the bar so you can sing along. Small space for dancing too.

We were there waited more than an hour for our songs. While the same people already sang repeatedly for 3 rounds. Lol if you're new there no point going you'll be waiting for your song forever until you lost your appetite for singing. You will just be there enjoying the regulars having fun. If you're more of an audience this maybe good for you ?

What else can you say that hasn't been previously said from other reviews? This Karaoke bar is just plain fun. Pretty much a locals only kinda place but never felt not welcomed. The singers were having a good time and you could just feed off the energy. The bartender was doing a great job considering it was a packed house. She held it down. The drinks were cheap and generous. Will definitely come back again when in town.

Stumbled upon this bar while in search of a strip club. It's absolutely not, but we ended up having the night of our life. Karaoke, welcoming crowd, and kind bartender. There was pop, there was rock, there was patriotic country music. Truly something for everyone.

This is my favorite place on earth. The owners are so kind and a ball. I love the regulars who come here as they always make it welcoming. The karaoke is phenomenal and the customers can sure out on a show. I've heard singers come through who sound like the real track. I've never been to a place that felt More like home than here!

Great Karaoke Bar, upscale clientele, non smoking, and very friendly atmosphere. Paul and Gina are the owners, and they are awesome people.Ive been coming to the Point for over 5 years, and have always had a great experience. There is a 2 drink minimum rule. Im not a drinker, but I order orange juice and 7 up, its all good. The good. The karaoke DJ changed recently, but he seems knowledgeable about music requests, and does his best to keep up with the flow. Weve had Birthday, Valentines, Christmas and Halloween parties at the Point, they encourage group parties. Sometimes it gets really crowded because of seating. Its best to go early around 8 pm that way you dont have to wait too long to sing. All in all I highly reccomend The Point Nightclub.

A relatively small bar with a small stage where - if you are going to sing - you stand to deliver your performance. I got there practically as it opened and introduced myself to the small group present. Lani behind the bar was very chatty and started the ball rolling with the first song.Brother Bryce, the karaoke dj, was very helpful when selecting versions of songs I had chosen. The bar soon filled with a lively crowd all prepared to belt out a song or two. The range of talent was varied but everyone's effort was rewarded with an ovation. If you don't like noisy fun places don't go - but if you are up for a good old fasioned 'knees up' this is the place for you. There is a small car park at the rear of the premises so keep that in mind if driving. Car pool if possible. Get your songs in early as the list soon fills. I had a great time and will certainly go again when I next visit Reno. I visited The Point on a Saturday.

Sometimes you wanna go where everybody sings your name, and they're always glad you came...The Point isn't quite Cheers, but it's pretty darn close when it comes to karaoke bars. I discovered The Point with some theatre friends years ago back when they were on West 4th St. I was so sad when I heard they closed, and then equally delighted when I found out they were able to bring their divey funk to trendy Midtown in recent years. The Point ain't much to look at on the inside, but it's a simple, humble good time with an always friendly crowd without Craft prices. While there are often many talented singers, I LOVE that the crowd here is NOT American Idol-lite. It's just good peeps, singing out their hearts & souls and is so much fun. They have the best song selection of anywhere in town IMHO but really need to update their books as I know they have more songs than are listed there. Some KJ's are more tech savvy than others, but if you ask nicely (tips help, too), they can also play some songs that aren't printed in their books. You just have to ask. Drinks are standard fare, but affordable. However, I'm not at The Point for Craft Cocktails, I'm there for some karaoke soul therapy! And actually, I don't think I would like The Point so much if it was more hipster-ey, like the rest of Midtown. I love it's divey, unpretentious, Mom & Pop soul. I *do* hope they're able to offer food at some point, I think that would be a fantastic addition. Buck up kiddos! The Point is the best karaoke spot in Reno, hands down! Ain't no one gonna judge you here...Just sing on and support other singers! (And please tip your bartender & KJ.)
