We were eating at the bar and the service wasn’t good. We had to ask for thing. The food wasn’t great either. When we were about done we saw a COCKROACH where the ice machine is. Never going again!

In the two times we TRIED to go here, they shut down early.. hours were "subject to change"Party of 7 and they closed 1 hour early...

Our server was so sweet. Bless her heart. But we waited 2 hours for our food. It was aweful. The cioppino has three small shrimp and one piece of crab. It was basically tomato soup. Every entree was missing items. Most items were also cold. The manager didnt want to take responsibility for anything. Worst restaurant experience in years.
Pan Roast is great! Must try it. Also Oyster shooters are excellent as well. Been coming here for years.Dietary restrictions: Not many options for allergy restrictions. Also staff was unaware what if any options were available. I do not recommend this restaurant if you suffer from food allergies.

Just to be clear, our waiter was truly outstanding without question. It was the standing in line for 15 minutes even though we had reservations made days before, there we stood. Once we got to the front of the line we stood there while two people behind the counter were playing with the screen trying to find our reservation. In my 38 years in Reno, I've watched the demise of several great culinary experiences happen at the Nugget. Too bad. We visit La Strada/Cin Cin quite often, and Johnny's too. Probably not returning to Oyster Bar at this point. We were there for the Jefferson/Marshall concert, so we thought we'd give it another try at the Oyster. Maybe Chop House? See what's happened there?
