“As of the time of this posting, me and my dad are staying in New York. We came here as our first major meal of our stay, and from what we thought it was overall great. The pizza had the right amount of everything! Some people say that their Calzones taste like sloppy joes, but I would just stick with getting Pizza. “Every time we go to Lavagna, the owner and his staff are always gracious and accommodating. This past weekend, my family and I were looking for a place to go after my Mom's wake. It was after 8:00 pm and we thought we would try Lavagna, knowing that they may not be able to accommodate the 12 of us as is was late and Friday's are usually very busy. We asked and they went out of their way to seat us as close as possible and served us with a smile even with two picky kids in tow. The food was delicious, as always. “Dined at Fig and Tomato on a Wednesday night with my wife. Started with the most delicious flatbread with an oil spread. Wife had a large portion of chicken Milanese with delicious burrata on top. I ate the chicken Amalfi with sausage and hot peppers. Had a perfect amount of heat and beautiful thin cutlet. Ended with homemade ice cream trio which was amazing. “Overall, I thought the food was good, and prices were fair. Unfortunately, the service was mixed, and while our server was pleasant, there were too many mistakes. Wrong food to one of us despite my friend being very specific, and she read back the order. Another pasta dish was way overcooked despite being told al dente. Our appy was supposed to be shrimp, crab, and lobster, but it came without the shrimp. While these may have been kitchen mistakes, the server is ultimately responsible for making sure our order is correct, not the runner. And there was more, spoke to the manager and he did the right thing taking off for one dinner and one appy but this was just bad training. Overall, we had a good time, but Im not running back here.“

Mario, the owner, personally delivered the food. It was delivered hot and packaged perfectly. My guests raved over everything from the bruschetta to the chicken, eggplant, pasta to the cannolis. You also could not beat the price for this level of quality.“
