1) went there at around 7:15pm and the store closes at 10pm yet all of the tables with stools had them flipped up on top of the tables, leaving only the booth area of seating available. if the store doesn’t close for several more hours, why is majority of the seating made unavailable that early?? it was decently busy as well.
2) had to have mine & my husband’s pizza remade several times because it was burnt. staff by the oven (2 guys) had an attitude about it and were very unprofessional, meanwhile they were burning everybody’s pizza because they kept walking away from the oven and doing other things. then when they take the pizza out, they struggle to cut through it because it’s charred and still serve it anyways. honestly, would they eat something like that?? no one should have to!
3) place is very dirty by the drink station and the tables (the few that were available) had crumbs everywhere

overall the employees are miserable with attitudes and inappropriate remarks except for the one girl who insisted on making sure we were okay with our pizza after it had to be remade several times. pizza itself is horrible. it’s either burnt charred (majority of the time) or undercooked. even my online doordash orders from this location have been horrible and i had to stop ordering because it was just a waste of money and the pizza had to be thrown away each time. this location of blaze was NOT like this a year or two ago! whatever happened, it’s not even worth going to anymore if you have to go through hell and back advocating for actual edible pizza.

**and here’s a photo of 1 of the many examples of how they burn the pizza (& it wasn’t even the worst one)**

hi there

As soon as the pizzas came out of the oven and went into their boxes, I regretted my choice and wished I’d ordered from another eatery. We love blaze but the location on Western Ave is always a huge hassle. Orders at this location are rarely ready on time. If you wait for 15 minutes in line, you start noticing the gross filth and regret you ever came to this place for food. The place is usually disgusting, dust caked onto the surfaces (you can tell it hasn't been cleaned in a long time), gnats flying around, sticky floors, dirty tables, oven that is not cleaned, burnt cheese on the bottom of pizzas turned into hard tar...We ordered 4 pizzas, and two cheese breads. They don't call out or place all the items in the order together, you have to be on the hunt for when/where the next pizza is going to show up. The wait time would be acceptable too if they didn't mess up the orders. At times, many are just standing around doing nothing while one person tries to handle the cooking and payment, step away from the oven for too long, the pizzas are burnt, leave them at the wrong temp, the tops are still uncooked, cheese barely melted. The same gloves touching the food and the other surfaces....brooms and money. We have had nice long blond hair in our pizza crust, toppings we did not ask for make it into the box but the ones specifically asked for are completely absent. Sometimes the cheese is barely existing, other times it's like someone just dumped the whole container in. When it is good, it is good and when it is bad, man is it BAD. What else can I say. I am the fool for giving them chances over and over again hoping things will change for the better, only to be disappointed over and over again. I will be ordering from a different location from now on...hopeful it is better than this one. Also pls stop dragging the parchment on the dirty counter with many hands. Delegate the tasks, care a little, like you are making the pizza for someone you love. Don't just get it over with. There was a young guy at the Clifton Park blaze who beamed with happiness, excited to make the pizzas, happy to be there and do his job well ....we certainly don't see that anymore. Hire more people like that!!!!

Our department ordered lunch for work. We are placed our individual orders online for pick-up.
When we arrived to pickup our orders it appeared pretty dark and the establishment needed tidying up. Nonetheless, we proceeded to the pickup area wete they store the pizzas ready for pickup. As we looked for our orders and began to check them for accuracy the man behind the counter began to yell at us. What are you doing! Why are you looking at the pizzas! We stayediwe are making sure they are correct was stated. He tells again are they your pizzas? I'm the owner and I need to know he continues to tell. We state yes they are and we just want to be sure they are correct be leaving the restaurant! He goes well I just need to know, I need to make sure your no Uber eats or someone! We state that's understandable but it's the way you are yelling and staying it, TONE is everything. He simply turns and goes back to making pizzas. No apology ..as this was my first time visiting a blaze pizza I am not sure I would visit or purchase again. Customer service and being respectful is everything for me when I'm spending money.

Place smells like a barn, filthy, a train wreck ordering and horrible food. Lettuce brown and wilted. Never again!

BLAZE PIZZA In Albany at Stuyvesant Plaza We went at noon time and the place was dirty and the smell of the place was unpleasant, actually nauseating. We were going to eat there, but decided to take home our pizzas because the smell was shitty. (Sorry the only way I could describe it). Would not recommend this place.

Food was great as usual. There was a TERRIBLE smell of rotten sewage. When we mentioned it to the manager he blamed the construction next door. This is not a construction smell!!

Being that I’m not familiar. I waited at the register to place an order. Female with dreads just stood there nonchalantly for almost fives minutes and never acknowledged me. Guy at the oven asked if I was there to pick up and I said no I would like to order. He just turned around and continued doing what he was doing. Then 2-3 minutes later , he’s like “oh wait, you’re ordering? You have to order down there.” At this point I just walk out. Trashy service.

This would be a good value if there was some way to cook the pizza without the bottom being burnt black and the top undercooked. All 3 of the pizzas we ordered were like that. The staff was friendly enough and we liked the vegan options, but the pizza was just not enjoyable. Also, the atmosphere is terrible. Really dirty. I will tolerate messiness if the food is good but this place grossed me out. The flooring was so dirty it looked like a construction site. Very noisy, dirty tables, and a weird odor from the gas oven.

One star only because zero isn’t an option. We arrived at 9:00 PM — with a whole hour before closing — yet the place already looked shut down: stools on tables, everything packed away. From the very first moment, the staff made sure to remind us (several times!) that they closed at 10:00, as if we were a burden instead of customers.

The pizzas? Cut in random shapes, some slices missing cuts altogether. No plates, no cutlery, nothing — even after asking. And the quality… let’s just say the toppings decided to abandon the base at the first touch.

If this is what they call service and food, then congratulations — they’ve mastered how to drive customers away. Terrible attitude, terrible food. Never again

Food is pretty good, standard for Blaze. However, we had two issues: 1) they closed our pizza boxes without asking for what sauces we wanted. They did reopen the boxes but added the sauces unevenly/sloppily (look at the pools of balsamic on mine! 2) they asked for my partners name which admittedly is a little unusual...but when she got it wrong and my partner corrected her, she just shrugged, didn't correct it, and just asked for her order. It's not a huge deal, but it doesn't feel good :(

Asked for extra toppings and was refused. I would have paid extra for the already overpriced pizza. Never had this issue with the Blaze in Schenectady. Much better service there
