This Mexican bakery is such a gem! They have so many pastries that I grew up with — especially the ones with the sweet frosting on top (the classic conchas!). It really reminded me of when I used to go to Mexico during the summers. My sister’s grandparents are half Mexican, so I grew up enjoying these kinds of pastries, and finding a place that has them all is amazing. Their tres leches cake is honestly the best I’ve ever had. The lady working there was super sweet and welcoming. It’s a cute little spot to stop by for a treat or to take some pastries home. I’ll definitely be coming back! I would’ve posted a picture but once I got in the car, I ate everything lol

Went in & got so much food for 50$ ! Omg the empanadas are so yummy, the tres leches is so moist & fresh, the churro cheesecake is very flavorful.. it’s more of a cross between a churro & a cheesecake.. baked cream cheese & guava pastry was *chefs kiss* .. nutella brownie was very rich, the nutella was a perfect touch, & i haven’t gotten to the slice of coconut cake they but i’m sure it’s just as good as everything else .. if you haven’t gone there .. you better get there !!

Don't be an idiota, get the delicious steak torta ❤️.
I also recommend the cake slices with the pink icing and sprinkles as well as Beso de Angel (three different slices of cake in one!)
Beso means kiss if you're a gringa/gringo and don't know the lingo.

Absolutely delicious!! The pastries are out of this world and everything is just so authentic, it will take you right back to Mexico. They make their Agua frescas (tamarindo/Jamaica is my fave), atole, and cafe de olla perfect. Amazing vegetarian taco options also and my partner loves the torta bistec.

I was craving a snack so I ducked in and saw the most charming little shop. I had a chicken empanada and strawberry and cream cheese pastry. Both were delicious and I was a little annoyed that I didn’t order more. I’m from NYC where guava and cheese is a staple uptown. I have been missing it so much and look forward to having some here with my coffee. Customer service was nice and quick.

EDIT: This place has perfect desserts the same ones you would have in Mexico, the tres leches is authentic and perfect. I was used to the ones that are not authentic,
very nice restaurant. it is very authentic Mexican desserts though the tres leches didnt have much noticeable condensed milk which is how I like mine.

Daisies Pasteles is a gem in Albany. Since Leo’s bakery( Ontario St.) went out of business years ago, Albany had been lacking in a neighborhood bakery. My significant and I went a second time this past Sat. for Daisies tacos. The quality of the filling in the tacos is excellent. We had the steak and chicken tacos. We asked fir a side of beans. I ordered tea and they have an elderberry tea by Yogi that hit the spot on this drizzly evening. We bought a couple of her pecan muffins to have another day. The cafe is artistically decorated and fresh flowers are on the tables. The ambience at Daisies ranks with cafes in N.Y.C. I will make a visit early morning to have Mexican coffee. Thank you Daisy for bringing a cozy space and excellent fare to Albany.

I was in a rush last night to get desserts for a party, thank god I ended up here. Not only did the staff get me everything that I needed, but the food was so good that nobody was mad at how late I was for the party. they helped me load the boxes and the price was was so good, especially because I chose five of almost everything they had and one cake, and every single pastry was phenomenal. It’s beyond good, you can’t go wrong at this place. I’d go out of my way to go here. The bakery is so clean and looks very nice inside it’s an easy 5 stars.
