Vegan cheeseburger was melty delicious and the vegan vanilla shake was one of the best I've had from Herbie's - perfectly thick and creamy. The staff were friendly and fantastic. Love this place!
I only gave 2 stars instead of one because I love Herbie’s, but I had a pretty awful experience this time around. I placed an order online and set the pickup to 8pm I put the order in around 7:10 and immediately got a text around 7:25 that my food was ready. I called them and explained how i put in the order for 8 and asked extremely graciously if they could possibly remake it and have it ready at 8 because I wouldn’t make it before then.I got my food. The guy didn’t really say much but I apologized and thanked him again. We got the food home and the burger was hot but for some reason it was wet. I hope he didn’t do anything to it but the burgers we got are just falling apart and soggy. Fries seemed overcooked and cold. Bun was almost liquid. Really gross but I love Herbie’s and hope that isnt going to happen again.

The place is small but the Burgers are tasty. We ordered a Vegan and Cheese burgers and the packaging, the taste, the filling, everything was spot on. There is a finesse to the taste that is hard to describe, you need to eat it to find the difference.

If I could give the service one star I would. The cashiers attitude was so nasty today on my visit. He didn’t greet me or my son. I asked for burger well done and he literally laughed in my face and proceeded to not tell the chef. I then reminded him and he laughed while telling the chef who chucked. Then when my order was ready he just sat it on the counter. Didn’t call my name or anything it was sitting on the counter for a few mins until my son realized it was our order .We knew it was sitting there because the time slip was dated 2 mins prior to us picking up the bag . He never even said have a good day or anything just sad because I am a loyal customer to this business and that’s very upsetting.

Everything a burger place wishes it could be. Excellent burgers, hand made fries and thick milk shakes. Honestly, I haven't had a burger that good in years. Fun atmosphere. Nostalgic packaging. I found this gem on the way home from the airport after a long flight and I'm delighted to know it's right in Troy. Herbie's is something special.
