We had the best time at Josie's table. Hospitality is top notch from start to finish! Could not have asked for a better Sunday brunch to celebrate a special occasion.

Sunday brunch was excellent. First time there for brunch. The side dish of sweet potato turkey hash was so good, a true comfort food. The menu was full of unique and varied choices. The wait staff were very courteous and accommodating. I wouldn't hesitate going again.

We had an early reservation as we had after dinner plans. The dinner was fabulous and so was the drinks ordered. Our service was also well done. No issues or complaints for this reservation.

Had a lovely lunch with a good friend. Service was prompt and friendly. I had the tomato soup and grilled cheese which was fabulous and generous. My friend had the club sandwich which she enjoyed, but it was so big she was able to take half of the sandwich home for another time. Just a great experience.

This used to be my favorite restaurant until now. Was sat next to a table of 4 middle-aged men straight from the golf course who were nothing but sexist pigs and treated the female waitstaff like objects. One in particular kept touching one of the female waitstaff and was making me uncomfortable. How could they get away with this and no one said anything? Simply pathetic. The food was just “ok”.. ordered the seared ahi tuna special and it was cooked straight through. We were celebrating my birthday, and boy was it one to remember. I don't think I'll ever come here again.

Instead of recommending the restaurant or not I wish I could rate it with stars. I would give a 3.75 the food was the good. The service was good. The atmosphere was good. Nothing was stand out amazing. For the price I would think the entrees would come with a salad or bread for the table but they do not. Drinks of course were expensive as anywhere but I got the smallest pour of wine I’ve probably ever received. We went for a special occasion and I wish we would have went somewhere else. Maybe I’ll try again with friends again for lunch and hope for a better experience.

I recently visited Josie’s table with high hopes for a pleasant evening, but unfortunately, my experience fell short due to a disappointing interaction with the bartender. While the ambiance of the establishment was welcoming and the setting itself conducive to an enjoyable time, I was left deeply upset by how I was treated.

At some point during the evening, I was abruptly cut off from ordering additional drinks. While I understand that it is the bartender’s discretion to make such decisions, what I found troubling was the manner in which it was handled. The bartender was dismissive, rude, and incredibly short with me, offering no explanation for the decision. Instead of addressing me with respect or professionalism, the interaction felt confrontational and unnecessarily harsh.

As a paying patron, I would have appreciated some level of communication or at least the courtesy of being treated with dignity. Being cut off without explanation, combined with the curt demeanor, left me feeling embarrassed and unwelcome. It was not just about the drinks but about the lack of respect and customer service that marred the entire experience.

Josie’s table has so much potential, but interactions like these can tarnish a guest’s perception of the establishment. I hope management takes the time to address how these situations are handled in the future. Clear communication, respect, and professionalism are key to ensuring all patrons feel valued—even when difficult decisions must be made.

While I wish I could wholeheartedly recommend Josie’s table, this incident has left me hesitant to return or recommend it to others. I truly hope this feedback is taken to heart and used to improve the customer experience moving forward.

I have been excited to try this restaurant for a while now. While I was out Christmas shopping in the Plaza, I decided to finally give it a try for a weekday lunch.

They were very busy at lunchtime; it seemed to be a mix of holiday shoppers and business lunches. I waited a bit for a table, although I was greeted right away, and was eventually asked if the bar was okay. It was, and the bartender was very pleasant despite how busy she was. 5/5 on service for sure.

I also loved the atmosphere. It was a bit noisy due to the crowd, but still at a volume that you could hear just fine. Very nice space that was well lit and decorated. 5/5 here too.

Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the rest of the experience. There was nothing "wrong" with any of it. The bread I ordered for an appetizer was good, but I am not sure it was worth $6; some of it was more toasted too, almost like toast instead of warmed bread. I ordered the Kilcoyne burger, which again was fine. However, for $19, I expected more, I suppose? Nothing about it really set it apart from any other average burger. The one item I loved was the fries, well worth the $2 I paid to have these instead of macaroni salad. Delicious with the garlic aioli dipping sauce, too.

Total for the food and a strawberry lemonade was over $40 with tip and tax. This was pretty expensive for lunch. I might come back to try an entree for dinner, but with so many options out there, it will be a bit before I venture back.

We've been to Josies a few times for dinner over the past 6 months. Each time, the meals and service have been great. I especially enjoy the relaxed but modern atmosphere. I love the wallpaper! They also have a nice drink menu. The homemade bread is yummy. I enjoy sitting near the back and watching the kitchen. My husband enjoys their personal pizzas, which are made in their giant pizza oven. The parm fries are addictive. Recommend reservations.

Josie's table is a great place for drinks and casual food (pizza, burger, fries etc. is consistently solid)

Pricing is not proportional to quality-- their stove top dishes leaves a bit to be desired. The risotto special pictured below was in the range of $40 with rice that was mushy and somehow still raw in places, which indicates careless bulk cooking.

We've never had a bad burger there though, and the fries are wonderful.

INCREDIBLE Albany dining experience! Everything about this place is divine. The farm to table concept conveniently located in the heart of Albany shopping is quite the delight! The ambiance was exceptional, everywhere I looked it was so tastefully done. Karen, our server, was not only hospitable, friendly and professional but so knowledgeable warm and inviting too! We were a larger party that closed the place down on a weeknight but she treated us as if we were dining in her home; she had great recommendations and was in no rush for us to leave. I got the burrata salad which was such a seasonal delight, the dressed greens and spiced pepitas were a party in my mouth! The mermaid drink was both fun and fabulous! If it wasn't a week night I would've explored their other libations! I have been telling anyone who will listen this is THE SPOT. I saw they offer lunch too which is a rare find in Albany these days for a nice mid-day dining experience. I'm looking forward to trying their brunch soon too!

Vegetarian options: As someone who dines frequently with vegetarians, they had a wide variety of options for everyone's varying palates!

Parking: Huge lot. You'll never run out of parking spots.
