My daughter and I went here for lunch while on trip to Albany. The food and service was excellent. I had the special, prime rib sandwich and my daughter the grilled cheese and tomato bisque. Perfect portion sizes for the meals.

Food was pretty good, but the espresso martini was definitely not the best. Very watered down.

Transcend Mind & Body Wellness

Josie's has been one of our favorite restaurants in the Capital Region (which, compared to many other small cities, isn't saying a whole lot about fine dining in the region, sadly). But aside from the varying specials, the menu has barely changed since it opened. Funny how they change the season at the top of the menu, but not any of the actual food to match the season. I used to get excited about going there, but not anymore. Our visits have been few and far between, and will continue to be. The food is good, but nothing to write home about. In fact, they consistently WAY over-salt their fries and undercook the burger. I've had to send back my burger more than once because it was literally raw in the center, and I get the same burger back (so gross that they put partially eaten food back on their grill) completely well done (when I asked for medium rare). Also, the super salty fries were once returned completely saltless (we call those FU fries). In my opinion, fine dining establishments should at least be changing their menu out each season. Unfortunately, Josie's leaves me bored and tired of the same old menu, and annoyed that the BOH staff can't seem to fix their regular mistakes.

No dessert menu. No prices. We were charged $18 for each dessert?

My friend and I were grateful that the table requested (booth) was provided. We both had the grilled cheese (we both asked and received the alteration of Swiss cheese only) and the tomato bisque soup. Delicious! Server was appropriately attentive and efficient, and professional.

Excellent meal. We started with Brussels sprouts. They were perfectly seasoned, balanced really well, not greasy. One of us had the ribeye. Delicious! And one of us had the short ribs. Also delicious. Would definitely go back.

This is my third time and my wife's second time @ Josie's table. We shall be back. The food (appetizer, salad, entree & dessert) and service (greeter & wait staff) is outstanding. I highly recommend the short-rib ragu and the free-range chicken. My one pet peeve is that the bartender's "two-fingers" pour of a glass of red wine is very stingy. For $16.00 a glass (cabernet, zinfandel, malbec), I'd like a little more wine to pair with my delicious entree.

WE WENT ON A THURSDAY EVENING AND THE PLACE WAS BUSY. Server Justin was excellent explaining all the specials etc... We ordered OYSTERS, PIZZA AND A SALAD, EVERYTHING WAS DELICOUS. ONE OF OUR FAVORITE RESTRAUANTS IN THE CAPITAL DISTRICT.

This was our first time at Josie's Table & we'll be back for sure! The bartender Dennis & our server Sydney were amazing! My boyfriend is celiac with a wheat allergy & he had the best GF pizza and GF parm truffle fries. I had the burger & it is one of the best I've ever had. We'll be back very soon!!

I dine at Josie’s weekly and have never had a bad dish or experience. Their menu is an example of how a great restaurant operates- doing few things and doing them well. Beef short ribs, seafood (sea bass, salmon), wood-fired pizzas, and 5-star salads are just some of the delicious features they offer. They have a unique cocktail menu with many artisan/house-made ingredients, a beer for everyone and a knowledgeably-selected wine list. The floor manager and bartenders are competent and friendly, even when it gets really busy. Don’t miss out, this is a lovely place to enjoy well-thought parings in a both inviting and elegant space.

Stopped in for brunch recently without a reservation. It was supposedly busy, so we sat at the bar. There were some open tables, so I supposed staffing issues. The bartender was attentive, but the overall service was pretty slow. The salad my girlfriend had was fine, but my Nashville chicken sandwich was stone cold. Nobody really checked in on us until I had about half the sandwich eaten - at least cold chicken is palatable. Problem is that just down the road 5 minutes is a chicken place that serves the same dish (sandwich and fries) for about $7 less per plate and comes out blazing hot every time. For the additional expense all I got was aioli and a cloth napkin. Hard to justify that kind of outlay for mediocre food.
