This place rocks! Everytime I am in Albany, I will pay my visit to Rain. Roast duck noodle soup is my favorite. 干炒牛河 the chef makes here is SO GOOD that you won’t even find the same quality of the dish in NYC!

From my 9 year old: This is the best place in the city, EVER. I love it so much, the food is so good and the people are so nice. It has a perfect name complimented by the water feature in the lobby. I would rate it one thousand million stars if I could. The staff is genuine and warm, just the best. I wish there were more places like this.

Its a really nice place to eat. The meals were great and worth the price. The curry duck was fantastic as well as the pineapple chicken.
We were glad to enjoy Rain. Service was terrific. My favorite dish was the Roast Pork Noodle Soup, which had great flavor to the Char Siu Pork. I will definitely order that again. There were a few dishes that felt a little bland, perhaps for the American audience, but I would love to come back.

My family and I ordered a large to go order about a month ago. I picked it up on the way to my mother's. It was packed up so thoughtfully for one person to carry. On arrival to my mom's house in Rensselaer I realized one meal was missing. We called to see if we could come pick up the missing meal and the host/ person who I picked the order up from insisted he personally deliver it...across the river! We were so impressed with how he handled the mistake. We tried to tip him more but he wouldn't accept! Anyway, it was a perfect example of amazing customer service. Plus the food was excellent! Highly recommend!

Everything was okay till the end where the waitress automatically tip herself 18% of the total bill. Normally, customers would get to choose how much to tip the waiter/waitress, but nope NOT HERE! Because of this incident, I rate this place 3/5. The food was good and the restaurant had a nice ambiance vibe to it, but I won’t come here anytime soon. Sorry NOT SORRY!!! I definitely felt I was taken advantage of.
We ordered over 10 orders for a work event at lunch. Bill helped us out to confirm the orders and then called me back when they were ready! Awesome service Bill! Thank you. Food is amazing!
