Portion is an issue. Food is an issue. Price is an issue. Won’t repeat. I will call it as kids menu portion. Taste is a meh. Paid $33. Totally A Rip off. Stay away. Should leave cuz during a Saturday noon time there was one guest only. It’s a miracle for such this place could exist.

My co-workers and I came here for dinner because we were in a training in Albany.

I consider myself a bit of a foodie and my mother's family is from down south.

I ordered the whiting, cabbage and mac and cheese and it was outstanding !!! The mac and cheese is literally some of the best I have ever had !!!

The staff were so polite and friendly.
The Head Chef Carl came over and introduced himself to us and it was a pleasure speaking with him.

I highly recommend.

Run ... don't walk !!!

Amazing food, excellent service, and a wonderful atmosphere. I ordered the half chicken with yams and Mac n cheese, and a side of collard greens. Everything was delicious just like the owner said it would be! The music was great and the vibe was just right. You could easily feel the love in the food. They put the soul in soul food. Now I know why this place is called Suga Foot, because he definitely put his foot in it! I’ll definitely be back. I’m so glad they opened up this place in Albany! Support black-owned businesses, especially good ones! I would have posted a pic, but it was gone as soon as they put the plate down! I ate the food so fast. ☺️☺️

Sugar Foot Soul Kitchen is hands down the best soul food in Albany, NY! I came all the way from Virginia and can contest that the food here is legit southern style food! The owner of Sugar Foot was so welcoming! When I visit again I’ll definitely be back!

This place is so good. The collard greens were delicious and slightly spicy, the chicken was fresh and I also had some sweet cornbread. The inside was pretty and wide, with many tables.

Real soul food made by people with soul

Fish was very dry. Too much vinegar in the collard greens and they didn’t provide me with corn bread with my meal.

I Visited Suga Foots Kitchen Today For My First Time. The Food Was Good, Not Bad. I Was Very Disappointed In The Candied Yams, They Had ZERO Flavor, VERY Bland,
BUT, The Mac & Cheese Was GREAT. The Service & Atmosphere Was EXCELLENT & VERY Welcoming, & A CLEAN Restaraunt, As Well. I Think I Will Give It Another Try, Soon !!!!!

Here on a business trip and our last night a couple of my coworkers wanted to treat me to soul food and this white boy was blown away by how delicious the food was. Fried chicken was perfectly cooked, not greasy or too salty, just perfection. Collard greens had a kick to them which was unexpected but the best I’ve eaten EVER. Mac was delicious and the hibiscus tea to leave with made my night!! My soul is feeling better after eating this delicious grub.

Mac and cheese had no cheese! Messed up my side order and when I called the lady that answered was NASTY and hung up ! Definitely would not recommend!

We had lunch at Suga Foot’s on our last day in Albany, and I am so sad. I had the fried chicken wings, mac and cheese, and collards. EVERYTHING was delicious! I ordered a second meal to take home with me to Pennsylvania—the oxtails. I am so sad that I didn’t order two! Those were the, hands down, absolute, best oxtails I have ever eaten! The service was awesome, and the restaurant is a whole vibe. Oh, and the red velvet cake!!!! My gratitude to the chef!

Let me start by saying the food is amazing. I had the 3-Wing Dinner w/ 2 Sides. The fried chicken was crispy and amazingly flavorful, the mac and cheese actually tastes cheesy and is moist, the cabbage was fresh, soft, and flavorful as well!

The pictures do not do the food enough justice, It looks even better in person! The restaurant atmosphere is a nice cozy, comfortable vibe. The family is nice and helpful.

I love black owned business showing representation in the best way in our community and this restaurant is just that. High quality and friendly service. And the food tastes amazing! I 100% recommend and will be a regular there.

My family and I loved it here. The kids even started playing with the owners kid. Great times.
