Tried the Curry Chicken Spicy Ramen here and it was fantastic. The broth was rich, flavorful, and had just the right amount of heat without being overwhelming. The shredded chicken was tender, the noodles were perfectly cooked, and the half-boiled egg added a nice creamy balance to the spice. The portion size is generous, and it’s definitely a hearty, comforting meal. If you enjoy bold flavors and a good kick of spice, this one’s worth ordering.

Some of the best ramen in the Northeast. I’ve been to Japan twice and the ramen at Tanpopo is as good as above average ramen in Japan — yes, this is high praise! I don’t think the noodles are fresh which may be a point for some but the broth and ingredients are extremely good and flavorful. It’s a small place and seating is tight especially groups, good for 1-4 people but you can make more work if you’re patient for space. Pork dumplings and sauce - delicious, shumai - very good, edamame- delicious, Tonkatsu - extremely good, thick but not too thick, Miso broth - delicious, a little better than the Tonkatsu. Service is fast and efficient. We went here because we were close by and were pleasantly surprised! Make it a destination if you love ramen.

The original and the best ramen noodles. I had the curry shrimp. Hot and spicy. Loved it!
Don't be fooled by how it looks outside. The noodles are delicious and the interior has an old charm.

I had a serious soup here!!!! Red curry shrimp. Most delicious thing I've had in a long time.
Gyoza and Shumai were on point. Ambiance was good. Service was not so great. We weren’t expecting anything over the top, there just wasn’t any warmth. Miso Ramen was pretty bad: boiled egg was overcooked, meat was tough and dry. Asked for some extra chili oil for the table and got Siracha instead.

I ordered the vegetable gyoza and chicken ramen with egg and corn. It was the best ramen I've found in Albany thus far. They have several different kinds of ramen and plenty of options to customize it. The place is small so it may fill up easily on a Friday night, but it was fairly empty when I came on a Monday after work. Would definitely come back.
