Primrose is the - and I do mean the, most secluded - tiny cafe in Albany. It is not even near the main attractions. Or on Lark Street. It is a one-bar affair with a few cushion seats and a coffee table in the middle of the room. The bar is standing room. It serves canapés, sandwiches, coffee, tea and I think salads (I'm a rugged man, I don't do salmon salad). As the other review says, it's small. But, I find it whimsical. Inside a major business skyrise, it is on the ground floor. There were magazines (new) to read and comfy seats. In my opinion, this is a great date spot. Secluded, quiet, friendly, warm, bright, safe.Rebel review: 5

While another reviewer unfairly blasted Primrose for their location, those of us working nearby find this to be an excellent little cafe to grab a coffee and chat with very friendly staff. Their lattes and prices beat the pants off nearby Stacks, where you pay to finance their bougie Brooklyn ambiance and pretend it's good coffee :)

Not exactly a café, this very small breakfast/ lunch counter seems to have more in common with an office break room... but without chairs.Located in a windowless room on the ground floor of a ten-story office building, I was surprised to find this coffee shop, even though it physically shares an interior wall (and also management) with 677 Prime steakhouse. Luckily, there was a portable billboard outside on the sidewalk - I never would have seen the tiny 18" x 30" sign on the lower door. But the servers are friendly enough, and the cappuccino is not bad. There is also a small selection of sandwiches, bagels, and salads. Of course, with no seating, everything is "to-go," in disposable cups, containers, utensils, etc.2023 07 11.

My husband made reservations a couple months in advance. Told them ot was for our anniversary, we were greeted with a congratulations and card at our table. Our food and service was fabulous. The fried calamari was light and perfectly prepared. Tori was attentive and helpful. And we even received a celebration toast of champagne and amuse bouche. We opted for the chocolate cake which is amazingly rich and not overly sweet. In a word Fantastic.

We looked forward to some delicious steaks from a fine steakhouse. We weren't looking to pay for the top-of-the-line wagyu but assumed that all cuts would be of the best quality. One shouldn't assume. They were delicious but not what is expected for the price. On the other hand, our server was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly at a professional level. Cocktails, appetizer and sides were all delicious. Dessert was good but appeared rushed in its preparation.

I had been waiting to try 677 for quite some time.So I figured the Valentine's Day Takeout meal for two ($155)would be perfect. When I called to place my for the first time no one answered the phone. Then, when I called the second time the lady who answered the phone was nice. However, she was in a rush to get my credit card info and I wanted to make some changes.I ordered my Prime Rib well done but when I picked it up they gave me Medium.I was pissed. Then the dinner rolls were hard as a rock(and I have strong teeth). The rolls must have been previously frozen.Everything else was good but I wasn't madly in love.

Excellent steak house..service and food were great. We had a party of 6 and most of us ordered something different…a huge rib, colorado lamb chops, Chilean sea bass, porterhouse, and filet mignon. we shared a couple of sides, Every entree was delish . they did add a 20% gratuity to the bill , which of course we had no problem with. Free valet parking..

As always food was DELICIOUS! Our waiter was exceptional,Kris R., Very clean in all ways. Seating was perfect. My guest were disappointed no creme boule for dessert. Please think about adding this to your menus. I was disappointed that the manger or chef didn't come out to greet us. After all this was our 50th anniversary! Our bill was over 1,000. , and worth every penny, but a visit would of been nice.

Terrific menu, well executed. Porterhouse for two slightly disappointing when compared to the best, like Peter Luger's but everything is first rate, from appetizers through dessert. Also thought that it was very poor to have to pay for parking at a restaurant. Add a star if you think that is okay.

This was our first time at 677 Prime and we were looking forward to a great dining experience. The service was exceptional. Our server was always available and very helpful and knowledgeable. Appetizers and sides were very good and plentiful. We could have easily shared the sides and still each had enough. As far as ambience, our table faced a parking lot and 787 entrance ramp. Speaking of parking, valet parking is $8, which I was told after we both got out of the car. Would have been nice to have a sign so I'd know ahead of time. I may not have been out for a while, but can't remember paying that much without prior knowledge. Small things, but not what I expected. We were looking forward to a great steak, but unfortunately were disappointed in the prime filet. It was okay, cooked to order and somewhat tender, but it was dry. I really expected some juice when I cut into it. We paid a premium price, but didn't get a premium steak.
