Umana Yana at the Plaza

I got the African Jollof Rice with the senegalese Roasted lamb and cabbage. This was my first time eating at this place. And this is probably the best meal i've had in a couple of days.
I will be back to have more food from this place. I highly recommend it to anyone that wants to try some really good food.
I could not finish the entire meal, unfortunately. My wife even liked it.
Service with these guys was awesome. I asked for options and suggestions and they were giving me more details about all the food available. Grateful for the suggestions heir part

We loved our lunch from Umana Yana! The woman behind the counter helped us figure out what we wanted to order, and even gave me a sample of the lentils so I could check whether they were too spicy. They were not (they made my mouth burn but not too badly). My mom got the Senegalese lamb and my brother got the chicken curry. We tried each other's food and agreed that everything was so tasty!

Me and my friend got sick from the lamb when we ate here on Lobby Day. You’ll be careful please. We were both running back and forth to the bathroom for 2 days. 🤢

The food is great but they never tell you when things they offer you result in an additional charge so when you get to the counter items are far more expensive than listed. The last time I was here they laughed when I asked for a lunch option as salad, they said they don't have it even though what I asked for was specifically listed on the menu board.

The food is the bomb…period! The flavor, the variety of vegan and vegetarian options is very nice! You could taste the love! If you want a good, home-cooked meal come here! The staff are even nicer and friendly!

I got the west African jollof rice, curried chicken, and cabbage side. All delicious. Definitely returning to try some of the other items that looked delicious.

This is not a soup. Why is soo much liquid? I bought out of convenience. But it's an inconvenience. By by Umana.😥

I lunched here today and loved it. I ordered the jollof rice with pineapple chicken, cabbage, and salad. The meal satisfied me all throughout the day such that I only had a snack and tea for dinner. Can't wait to return!

Wonderful food, atmosphere and staff!

Good food, open late, friendly staff, and nice location and atmosphere

They have a separate vegan menu with great selections! Friendly service and decent prices. I don't know what they do to their tofu but it's amazing. The new location is beautiful. Went for dinner and can't wait to do brunch there.

The staff was warm, welcoming and fun! We were there for a bit and never felt rushed. The menu was simple and delicious! We were there for dinner but cannot wait to try their brunch!
