Orchard Creek Golf Club

I booked a tee time for a group of 4 to play 18 holes at Orchard Creek 6/19/25 at 11:45am. I received a voicemail from the pro shop that morning at 10:40am stating that it would be “impossible” to get my group out for 18 holes due to a “league running behind” when I called back to see if there was any way they could squeeze us in for a full 18, I was denied. I’ve been an avid golfer for about 20 years now and have never received this type of service from any golf course. Needless to say we ended up canceling and booking at a different course. I expect the others from my group to leave a similar review. Not only is the service sub par but Orchard Creek also charges upward of $80 including cart for an 18 hole round and is almost exclusively cart party only for atleast 5 holes if not more. I don’t think I have played a round at this course in the past 2 years where it hasn’t been some form of CPO. I would recommend taking your money elsewhere.

Gorgeous golf course. Very cheap.

I was in town on a work trip and wanted to get in a quick round in before driving home. I searched for public courses that had open tee times before noon. They only had 9 hole rounds available as they had an outing in the afternoon. I was blown away by the beauty of the course. I hit my first tee shot and noticed just how hilly it was. There are some beautiful farmland and rolling hills in the area

It's hilly and was a little tough to walk even just 9 holes. There are many apple trees spread around the property. I have no idea if you're allowed to grab one for a snack (probably not for safety reasons) but I did and had a few bites after I washed it well with my water. It really hit the slot. I bought some items from the pro shop to cover the apple I stole.

I probably would've played better if I was familiar with the course. The greens were very fast. There were also many blind shots including a very heavily raised green on 2. I had no idea where to hit my second shot on 3, but thankfully my watch has a pin finder. I definitely will be back to try and get 18 in and I'll probably decide to take a golf cart vs using my push cart.

Really nice course. Very challenging greens

If you are playing golf in the Capital Region you have to stop by Orchard Creek. I found this gem a few years ago and play as often as I can. Fast, smooth greens, well maintained grounds, consistent conditions, and friendly staff. I am from NJ so this terrain/layout is a gorgeous change of pace. Large greens, tons of slope around the collar, tons of fun to pitch/chip onto. Can hit driver all day long

Attended a bridal shower here. Food was good and the grounds and the room were beautiful. The waitresses and serving staff are so pleasant and very helpful. Wonderful shower.

Horrible place of employment. They lie about how much they are going to pay you to start. Don’t provide accurate lunches. Even if you don’t take lunch you don’t get your pay for that half hour. Fired employee for asking about pay amount and asking to use FMLA leave for a sick family member. Don’t provide accurate holiday or sick pay. They change hours worked and pay less than owed. Promise work through the end of golf season and lie. Expose employees to hazardous chemicals without proper PPE and extreme heat exposure black flagged by the state to not be working. Don’t let employees take 15 minute breaks. The maintenance crew boss and supervisor comes to work drunk and high on marijuana and also drinks alcohol and smokes marijuana while on shift. Plenty more.. don’t waste your time

1st time playing here yesterday. Course in great condition. Interesting holes, greens were big, in great shape! Wife rode with me and enjoyed the beauty of the course and surroundings. Ate dinner after on the patio-smash burger with fries and a pint of Fiddlehead, nice evening, doesn't get much better! Will be back!

What a great course. Opening hole is a blind tee shot that seems to always get jammed up. It took us about an hour and a half just to make it through 5 holes. That being said, the ranger ended up coming out and finding the group that was slowing the rest of the course down. They sped up and the rest of the day improved. Ended up finishing 18 in 4.5 hours which is pretty amazing. I wish more public courses would use their rangers like Orchard Creek does.

The course itself is absolutely beautiful with a great mix of par 3,4 and 5’s. Played some of my best golf here and can’t wait to return to play again. Course is priced very fair for the condition it is in.

Very nice atmosphere, staff was very attentive, We each had the rib eye. The sides were excellent, but the steak was a bit tough, and a lot of grizzle. I would give it 5 stars if it weren't for that.

Had lunch with 2 friends. Patio dining looks out over one of the greens. Great food and service.

Literally the best public course in the Capital Region! Greens are fast, the course is always in beautiful condition, and the staff is incredibly friendly. I’ve been playing at Orchard for the last couple of years and except for it being slow sometimes you really couldn’t ask for a better mix of challenging holes combined with amazing views and top quality course management! Anytime I have friends come up to play I take them here it’s a must play!

One of the top public courses around, great conditions with terrific scenic views as you golf through the orchard.

We had a great dinner, the four of us all enjoyed what we ordered. The staff was great.

Nice course ! Lots of blind spots but it worked out still had some pats for 9 holes! It is pretty steep pricing for being far out though to other compared courses..
