Had the pasta and a specialty cocktail—both were excellent. Pasta was flavorful and cooked just right. The cocktail was creative and well-balanced. Service was friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed. Highly recommend!
Waitress great food great
Hostesses have such bad attitudes - they need to be replaced
The food was mostly excellent but the service was lacking.
Great food, ambience and service. 4th or 5th time there - can’t wait to return.
I’ve heard rave reviews for Il Buco in New York City, but since I was in the Hamptons on a weekday (with more traffic than expected), I decided to venture all the way to Amagansett. I didn’t like the service here; I waited around 20 minutes for a table because of the lack of staff. When I finally say down, I ordered an anchovy focaccia and a steak. I liked their healthier spin on focaccia, but it wasn’t worth $30. However, the crunchy garlic steak was the best steak I’ve ever tasted! The atmosphere is Hamptons chic, accounting for the increased price point. I would definitely return, since most restaurants in the Hamptons are dinner-only, and this spot serves lunch. They clearly use the best ingredients for the food. Expect choppy service, though.
we practically ate the entire menu and every bit was fantastic. it's fresh, vibrant food with a intimate and chic ambiance. the pea and bacon pasta is unforgettable. run.
Sublime dining experience!!
Great service..
I’ve enjoyed many wonderful meals at the original il Buco in Noho, Manhattan, and al Mare in Amagansett now has another piece of my heart. The verdant setting, the rustic modern interior design, the attentive and friendly service, and, WOW, the food all blended perfectly. Brava!
We arrived hungry on a rainy Friday night and ordered a quarter of the menu, then returned the next day to enjoy brunch al fresco.
The dinner standouts: local fluke crudo + oysters, mushroom focaccia, casarecce, crispy cannellini beans, seared duck, fruit pie. And, I could’ve dined solely on the gourmet tins and been happy; pick whichever sounds appetizing and you can’t go wrong.
For lunch, more focaccia (!), Burrata, and their bucatini cacio e pepe is among the best pasta you’ll ever have.
I have some dietary restrictions and the chef helped make it a incredible meal for us. Grazie mille!
this place is RACIST as hell. Black and Latino, skip this place.. They don't need our monies. The staff who earns less than many of us has some nerve to be racists..
3 oz portion of bass for $40. Way overpriced.

This is the best restaurant in the Hamptons. The food is wonderful. Get the small plates and share. The focaccia is memorable. The wine list is terrific.

Food always fabulous, flavorful and beautifully presented. Love the “tins”, but needed to serve with at least 2 more slices of toasted bread. Young male bartender SO friendly as is (usually) the staff. This past visit our waitress (M) was fairly rude - perhaps she missed a hospitality training session. Overall, one of my favorite restaurants in The Hamptons.

The fluke crudo was especially wonderful - I had to ask for a spoon so I could drink the amazing broth it was in which I think was tomato water - but so was everything else. We really enjoyed the back patio!
