Stephen Talkhouse is fantastic; the best dance restaurant in America, Europe, and Brazil that I know of. Please, please create a Stephen Talkhouse in Manhattan. Fun venue - dive bar for the well heeled locals and visitors alike. It's a bar - no food is served. But drinks are strong. They have a full bar and the bartenders are old timers who know how to work the crowd. Drinks were served in plastic cups, no frills. Not cheesy, not pretentious, just a great venue for intimate shows. I think entire place fits 250 people. Bathrooms were clean and plenty of parking. We had a great night.

had a great time when I was there last May. unfortunately one of the apparent regulars, an older drunken woman, punched me in the head unprovoked after harassing/pushing other groups of girls at the bar.
