We stopped at Raimo's to enjoy their Monday night Pasta special at $18.95 and it truly was very special. Upon arriving a variety of hot fresh bread was placed on our table with a Tuscan dipping sauce . then a cold crisp house salad (with a wonderful house dressing on the side) was brought over . Salad was large in size and delicious. We had a choice of probably 30 pasta dishes . I had the penne with chicken , broccoli and plum tomatoes and my husband had the spaghetti bolognese , both dishes were served hot and were large portion's and scrumptious . Coffee and home made dessert was also included . I enjoyed the most delicious bread pudding and my husband loved his cheese cake . Wow is my final comment . Restaurant side has a nice decor , staff was pleasant and attentive and food was fabulous . Thank you Raimo's for one of the best dinners we have had in a long time ..

We’ve gone to Raimo’s many times with friends and family for dinner and we highly recommend it.Raimos is a cozy, intimate, family restaurant with delicious food, and friendly personal service. The menu is extensive and their weekly specials are amazing with generous portions, great desserts, a wonderful drink menu, and very reasonably priced wine by the bottle. Everything is freshly made on the premises.Tom our waiter was so helpful with the multitude of recommendations on the menu. This place is a true diamond in the rough.I learned last evening at another wonderful dinner there with friends that they have a happy hour, a party room, catering, and a prix fixe menu.Tip: Raimos is on the Long Island/Suffolk Restaurant Week list (January 24th through February 4th). Definitely go and enjoy this wonderful restaurant!Thank you Tom for the wonderful, friendly service!

I ordered a cheese slice, a pepperoni slice and garlic knots. Pizza had soggy/saggy bottom with no flavor, the pepperoni slice tasted like the sauce was old or the whole slice was old or like a burnt/overcooked taste and the crust was dried out and super hard. I couldn't even eat it. 3 stars because...Best garlic knots ever, made with real garlic!!

i ordered a bbq slice just to have it given to me raw and half the chicken you could barely eat on it because it was chewy, not only that but they need to change the way they do there bbq it taste more like miso soup then bbq .asked for it well done prob most flimsy slice i’ve gotten ,so

This review is strictly regarding their standard cheese pizza. If you are going to get pizza here, make sure it is the old world style imho which is typically a margarita with different toppings. Those pizzas have been somewhat consistent throughout the years and I have to be in the mood for them. However, ordered a regular one topping cheese pie, and it tasted like one of the doughy chain pizzas or $1 pizzas you can get anywhere in the city. Was not good; put it back in the oven to cook further to give it an ounce of crisp at least and it was still not good. Was extremely disappointed in the regular pie.

I love this place. You can't beat homemade cooking. Even the desserts are homemade and delicious.

After viewing all of the excellent and above-average reviews, I guess it's what you're used to. I ordered a regular cheese pie which tasted OK, but I wasn't thrilled with the way the dough was cooked nor would I rate the sauce as excellent. On Long Island, I rate and compare pizza to Umberto's of New Hyde Park (and I've had pizza at nearly 4-dozen restaurants in Nassau and Suffolk County.)

Wife and I had dinner here last night, first I must say that it was pasta night and the menu is really nice. There is something for everyone if you want to save a little. My wife had the pasta special which was eggplant over pasta, she said it was very good. I had the chicken Francese with a side of pasta and a salad, I must say it was really good. The bread is very tasty. We shared a bottle of white wine that was only $24, which was really nice. With pasta night you get a salad, pasta of your choice and dessert. The only thing that kinda got us mad is there was some kind of charge on the bill which was I guess a credit card charge, we always pay cash when dining out. I paid it because I understand what's going on out there. Really don't think it's fair that any restaurant can do this.Maybe the owner will see this post and change the way the fee is listed on the bill.Definitely will be back.

The Chicken Parmigiana subs are to die for. Saucy, cheesy and they give a great portion.

I just had THE BEST half plain half pepperoni pizza EVER! My niece who lives in L.I. Italian land exclaimed that it's better than what she can get at her corner! BRAVO!
