The food and service were so good. First time here and so surprised. The place was packed on a Saturday, so make reservations. I think they had at least 10 specials, the each one sounded great. I had lobster ravioli and 2 others had the seafood fra Diavlo (special). There was so much food.

On Saturday, January 20th we had a reservation for 7:30PM at Sophia's, when we arrived at 7:15 the restaurant was chaotic, with a allot people in the doorway, as we asked about our reservation the gentleman at the front desk said we were not in the book and did not have a reservation. Also they were bring in folding tables for one of the rooms and there was a disagreement about a room being rented out that should not have been rented so the staff was having an argument, there also were a number of new waitstaff and other workers. I have been going to Sophia's for 8 years and never had my reservation denied and have not experience the chaos that was going on last night. Was wondering if Sophia has new ownership and management.

Rico the owner is always cooking something delicious a wonderful chef from mulberry street and a good soul they all take pride in the resteraunt Rico and his staff good seafood fradiavolo my favorite here and the baked oysters are something only found at Sophia's also enjoy the veal oasis bucco great resteraunt God bless

Food was bland not flavorful. nothing that I would say I'm definitely going back there. The coke was excellent...alot of restaurants have a bad mix with soda. Service was excellent though and waiters were very attentive.
