**Review for Sushi in Amityville, NY - ★★★☆☆**
I recently visited Sushi in Amityville and left feeling a bit underwhelmed. While I usually prefer not to write negative reviews, I felt compelled to share my experience. For the prices they're charging, I expected a bit more effort put into the food.
The basics are there, and they’ve nailed the standard sushi offerings. However, the quality of both the kitchen dishes and the sushi bar left something to be desired. It felt like they were playing it safe rather than pushing the envelope on flavor and presentation.
If you enjoy the place, by all means, continue to visit. But personally, I don’t think I’ll be returning. There are several other sushi spots in the area that have impressed me more. I believe with a little more attention to detail and creativity, they could really elevate their dining experience.

Food presentation was perfect and the quantity was more than enough, not to mention I got my delivery faster than expected and the gentleman was very nice. This is random but I loved the bag it came in also it keeps the food fresh. Definitely perfect for a night at home.
Vegetarian options: There’s a few rolls that are vegetarian, you can definitely find something to get.

I had my son’s Communion party there and everything was amazing! Amy and Nicky made sure the drinks were flowing and the food never ran out. Both the buffet and sushi were delicious! Will definitely be returning!!!!

Dietary restrictions: Our hosts made sure we had no allergies before eating. No peanut oil is used.
Parking: Only about 7 spots in front, but plenty in the back and free street parking.
Kid-friendliness: My son and his friends loved the food and sushi! Chicken tenders are also available.
Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access to the main dining room and outside. Unfortunately, the bathrooms are downstairs and I don’t think they have an elevator.

The staff is amazing, but John is A1!!
I like going to places where I’m treated well, the food is good, the people are great, and the atmosphere is perfect. Highly recommend as an after work spot, family dinner restaurant, and a date night.
