Mt. Fuji Amsterdam Reviews
Check your bill! They added in 18% gratuity even it terrible service! We had to talk to the manager to get it removed and they gave us a hard time about it.
Went here tonight for Valentine’s Day. They were busy, but not crazy. My fiancé ordered a kani salad and 5 rolls and I got hibachi. He was done with all his sushi for about 10 minutes before my food was even brought out. We barely got an apology. Waitresses were unfriendly and didn’t care about anything but taking our order. Completely shocked tonight about the service. My fiancée ordered Hibachi and I had sushi. Needless to say I ate all my rolls and she was still waiting for her food. Almost an hour. Waitress knew I was annoyed and had no explanation. Spending well over $100 I expect better service. Not going back and it’s a shame because before tonight loved their food

Mt. Fuji Amsterdam is a sushi restaurant that has undergone some changes over time. While it was once a great place for sushi, recent reviews suggest there are still positive aspects worth considering, despite some challenges. The service has improved, with customers noting that the waitstaff and Hibachi chef are entertaining and attentive. The chef is particularly praised for his fun knife tricks and engaging personality, which adds to the atmosphere of the restaurant.
Some diners enjoyed the Hibachi experience and found the food to be hot and fresh when served. However, there have been mentions of small portion sizes for certain dishes, like the calamari appetizer, which some guests felt was more of a sampler size. Despite these concerns, items like the Monster Roll received high praise for their flavor. While some customers felt the sushi could use more seasoning, many still appreciated the variety on the menu and expressed a desire to return for another meal. Overall, Mt. Fuji Amsterdam continues to attract diners with its lively atmosphere and entertaining chef, making it a place worth visiting.
