Gosh nothing like a sumptuous meal for the soul! This cute lil place is a great pitstop to satisfy that hunger pang and meet amazing hosts who go all out to get your taste buds crackling!! We were quite late and the kitchen was about to close but they (Chris) asked for our order and made that work :) Advised us on the best stuff to try including their lip smacking hot sauce (drooolll) Melt in ur heart chicken sandwiches and awesome wings. Glad we waited it out to eat here!

I ordered a takeout lunch yesterday, I drove to the takeout window only to discover it's closed,I'm mobility limited, and the closest parking was more than a block away. My only options was to call a friend to pick it up for me or to forget my $20 burger. They don't answer the phone, only way to order is on line and there's no mention of the closed take out window. What a disappointment.

Found this place whilst looking for a quick bite to eat on our lunch break and passing through Amsterdam NY. What we found was a gem of a place... a cozy bar and restaurant that happened to have the most wonderfully delicious food! We were greeted and seated immediately, and quickly had the highlights of the menu pointed out (transpires there's quite a few). We were hooked by the talk of the award winning C&J chicken wings, and the 'Grinders' made from fresh bread, baked at a 100 year old bakery. Add a bowl of chilli loaded fries and what one of the lads called 'the best burger he'd ever had' and there you have it, an absolutely finger licking and filling experience. Will definitely be back if in the area.

SHORTY'S RESTAURANT is the place to be! Nice Atmosphere, 1960's and 70's music. Good sized portioned menu, delicious food, even non alcoholic beverage; ie. Heineken zero alcohol. A great pleasant nice easy going staff with no urgency to shove you out the door makes SHORTY'S RESTAURANT A ***** EXPERIENCE!

Met the owner Chris while I was here at the beginning of September, he was a really nice guy - A really nice little pub and a must visit if your in the area..
Traveling thru from Rochester to Connecticut. Very easy directions off the thruway. Nice & clean, staff was very friendly & food was very good! Will definitely be back next trip to UConn!

Very welcoming place to our cycling group after a day riding the Erie Canal. Google Maps directed us to the takeout window in an alley, the staff were a bit confused at first that we were ordering from the window, and after we asked about sitting down somewhere so we’d be out of the sun, they said “you know, we have a restaurant at the front!” What a great find!
