Excellent seafood in Astoria. IMO I prefer abuquir, but only slightly and because of their octopus. This place is incredible.

I was excited to visit this restaurant after seeing it on Instagram. I arrived and was seated, and when asked about my guest, I mentioned they were just outside on a call and would join shortly. Less than a minute later, three aggressive staff members approached me rudely, saying I could not be served unless my guest was immediately present — no grace period, no water, no menu.
When I calmly responded that their behavior was uncalled for, one of them flipped the table and told me to leave. I felt threatened, disrespected, and completely shocked. This was by far the most unprofessional and hostile service I have ever encountered. I do not recommend anyone visit this place, and I sincerely hope this behavior is addressed.

Fish cooked to your liking. We loved the spices and the cooking, the flavor was good overall.

The bathroom is small but gets the job done.

An amazing and unique experience. Best shrimp (garlic/oil) ever. My wife loved the whole fried black sea bass. You pick it; they cook it to order. Owner/manager super patient with questions because most folks (like us) have never had a seafood restaurant experience like this. Sides are amazing. No alcoholic beverages.

Title: Unacceptable Treatment at Ocean's Delight

I had a terrible experience at This restaurant that I can't overlook. The owner was incredibly rude, treating my friends and me with utter disrespect. To make matters worse, our fish was undercooked, which is inexcusable for a seafood restaurant. Instead of addressing our concerns, the employees were yelling at my friends, creating a hostile environment. On top of all that, the prices were outrageous considering the poor quality of both the food and service. I am extremely disappointed and would never recommend this place to anyone. Save your money and go to IBN HAMEEDO in the same area with way better quality of food and customer service attitude.

This was one of the worst restaurant visits I’ve ever had. The owner and staff were very rude and had no idea how to treat customers. They were unprofessional and disrespectful the whole time. The food was way too expensive for what it was — definitely not worth the price. I left feeling disappointed and like I wasted my money. I honestly don’t see this place lasting much longer. I strongly suggest you go somewhere else.

I really don’t understand the hype around Abuquir. We came as a family and were immediately put off by the setup. The bathroom is behind a Coca-Cola fridge — awkward, uninviting, and honestly disgusting.

You have to pick your fish before sitting down, but the guy taking orders is rude, rushes you, and doesn’t answer basic questions (like if a certain fish is enough for three hungry people — his reply was “you tell me, I don’t know”).

Once seated, no water was brought to the table. The calamari wasn’t crunchy, had no lemon or sauce, and the house salad was sad — old lettuce, barely any cucumber, nothing you’d expect from a restaurant. The mango juice wasn’t even blended.

Food came out in random order — my mom’s fish took nearly an hour, and by the time it arrived we didn’t even want it anymore. When we complained, the manager simply said “it just takes longer to cook” — but grilling a fish doesn’t take an hour.

We usually go to Sabry and love it, but wanted to try something new. Big mistake. Don’t let the long lines fool you — it’s not worth it. We won’t be returning.

I had high hopes for this place, but I was let down by both the food and the service. What made the experience worse was the owner’s behavior—he raised his voice at customers and seemed very impatient. I hope they take this feedback seriously and make improvements.
