Boishakhi Restaurant in Astoria offers a delightful experience with its authentic Bangladeshi flavors and fully halal menu. This place is a gem. Looking for proper Bengali food and snacks, this is the place. The food is always fresh and consistently flavorful. There's a wide variety of dishes. I really like the chai and accompanying snacks like the shingaras and dhalpuri.
The food was tasty but I did not feel welcomed. I recently moved to the neighborhood and saw the large gatherings of people in front of this restaurant the last couple of weeks.
I thought I’d give it a chance. Admittedly the food was genuinely good! I had some rice accompanied by some veggie and non-veggie sides. The flavors were great.
