Made a quick stop here for dinner on a weeknight, it was really delicious. Portion sizes were HUGE and service was really great. You get complimentary freshly made chips and salsa. Would definitely recommend for quality mexican in NYC. We got enchiladas verdes and one of the beef steak dishes. The enchiladas were super flavorful and came with rice and beans (they are NOT stingy on the rice and beans portions ) The beef steak also came with rice and beans and was so tender and fatty. It really hit the spot The only thing I would comment on somewhat negatively was the horchata being overly sweet, but they give you so much of it, it's literally a to go takeout container. Definitely 24oz or more.

Terrible experience, tried ordering using their online menu and their prices were wrong, when I called back to cancel the order they tried to bully me into paying for it saying they had already made it for us ( mind you we called back 20 seconds after initially placing the order once we double check their online prices) once we called back they said if we didn't pay they would blacklist me. I would never recommend this place after tonight.

I called this night to make a free call, they had me on hold for more than 5 minutes and they hung up on me and they put me on hold for one more call and I heard the person on the phone complaining about the food and screaming to place an order alone. I say thank you for knowing that ordering food at home is a hassle for the person who answers the phone at your business......

Cecina burrito = HeavenThe food at El Mariachi is solid and they give you a lot for your money. I ordered the cecina (salty beef) burrito ? and it was not only delicious but also MASSIVE. You can easily make two meals out of it.I'm looking forward to trying some other dishes.

Been coming here for years and the food is always delicious. Servers are pleasant and efficient. The restaurant has always been clean and an inviting space. On my last visit here. I ordered to go and while waiting for my food, my boyfriend and I had coconut mojitos. I paid for my order with a card and tipped in cash. A few days later I get an alert that a total was updated on that transaction and was increased by $10. Did someone decide to add to their tip? Shameful. After spending so much money here and bringing different people (increasing their business essentially, no?) and being a loyal customer: I get this. Keep it and I'll keep my business.
Came here because someone recommended this place for Mexican food and the moment we entered (place was EMPTY 7/3 2:44 PM) we wanted to have a late lunch. I have two licensed and registered Servcie dogs. The illiterate lady working there said I couldn't come to this place because she didn't have a permit to accept Servcie dogs. She even mentioned that she had a service dog too, well I guess she lied because she should know there is not such a thing in New York. I could have made a big deal about it since she denied service to us, but after that who wants to stay knowing they will be handling our food back there.? Never coming back to this place or recommending it to anyone. Oh, I should said thank you for allowing my sister to use the restroom, that was nice of you. Now, I wonder why no customers, not even a single one there.

This place is not tex-mex and definitely not mexican.I ordered a burrito and chiles rellenos and a horchata agua all test bad !!!I never see a restaurant pack the food the way this place did!!The horchata is not fresh at allIt was expensive for the bad food
