✨ Absolutely incredible! ✨
Everyone works with so much care and attention, and the whole experience was truly wonderful for me. The flavors were perfectly balanced, fresh, and simply outstanding. You can really feel the passion behind everything they do here. Highly recommended! I’ll definitely be coming back!

I don't think I've ever said this before: this restaurant deserves a freaking Michelin star. I didn't expect much upon coming here; it's a hole in the wall place that my husband and I have passed several times. I am so, so glad we went in tonight, and I wish we had gone in so much sooner. The food was fantastic. The momo fillings confused my taste buds in the best way possible; the cheddar ice cream (?!?!) was shockingly, absurdly delicious; and the skate was fantastic. I was also seriously impressed with our server's knowledge of their wines--it was clear he knew them all well and could provide specific suggestions after listening to what I wanted. Highly, highly recommend going here.

Had a fantastic dinner here from their a la carte menu - highlights for me were definitely the pork schnitzel, ramro noodles, walnut cauliflower and silvanas dessert. Everything was delicious!

I’ve eaten here twice now and both times the food was exceptional. The restaurant is cozy and the service is very personalized. Service is a bit on the slower slide but only because they cook everything fresh (open kitchen for you to observe, I love sitting by the bar). Any time there is a hiccup, they go out of their way to make it up to you. The food is worth the wait. My favorite is the duck and the noodles.

I’ve been here a few times and Ramro is the best place in Astoria for innovative dishes. It’s a small space with great service and a counter that allows you to watch the chefs work. The longanisa, skate wing and duck are all amazing. They also have a nice selection of wines by the glass and interesting cocktails. Definitely recommend!!

Absolutely incredible. Could not recommend enough. Every single dish was perfect during the tasting and can't wait to return to try the a la carte menu.

I wanted to love this place, as the couple who runs this restaurant is super sweet and friendly. But most of the dishes needed more flavor. The momos were super bland and the sauces didn’t go well with it at all. The crudo needed more acid and salt, without the fish left a fishy taste in my mouth. The duck didn’t have much flavor and the skin was chewy instead of crisp. Trout, beef skewers and fried rice were the better dishes. Dessert medicine as well. But a cute spot in the neighborhood to have something different. They just need to up the cooking a little bit to be a gem.

Pretty solid food, but nothing blew me away and nothing was very memorable. Some of the dishes were too heavy (the skate wing main, although the texture of the fish was great), some were too light (the crudo, which was also super fishy), and overall the flavor profile was relatively one-dimensional and there was always something wrong/missing with each dish. The duck was disappointingly very dry, as pictured. The ice cream was a highlight and the crispy bits were delightful! Overall, glad I gave Ramro a try and I still enjoyed the dinner, but this restaurant probably isn’t worth a second visit.

Had the 6 course tasting menu which has generous portions.
This place has the best tasting menu to value ratio of any place in NYC.
$55 wine pairing is unheard of for the this level of quality. Very nice people and service. I will return.

One of the best restaurants in NYC, and I’ve lived here for 10+ years. Eric and Ravi make a wonderful night. Food is made with love and it is hypnotic watching them prepare dishes at the countertop.

I’ve been wanting to come here for a long time but been pushing it off because I wasn’t too familiar with Filipino food and just by reading the menu didn’t give me a clear idea of what to expect.

I’m glad we finally went because what really hooks you are the incredible flavors that cant be fully described. You have to come try it yourself. There seemed to be quite a few regulars during our visit.

The restaurant is cozy and intimate with only 16 seats. Everything we had was good, but the trout really stood out. The skin was bursting with flavor despite appearing lighty seasoned. I believe it was torched, giving it a slightly crispy texture. The duck was also excellent, smoked and very tender. The duck fried rice was a chef’s kiss. Beef longganisa was another delicious dish.

We will likely swap out momo and cauliflower for something else next time. Cannot wait to come back!

I'll say I really had high hopes for this place. This style of cuisine is quickly becoming one of my favorites and to have it in an elevated/intimate spot is a dream. But ultimately the food was somewhat of a letdown.

The menu itself is fine, there wasn't a TON I was interested in for the price-point. There was no world we didn't get the momos, which I actually quite enjoyed. Certainly not traditional in their shape. The cauliflower sauce added nothing to them, but the other sauce was nice. Do wish the portion had been bigger (a comment I would make about all of the dishes). I thought I would going to love the shimeji mushroom, but I found these to be so disappointing. A little cold? And some charred. Flavoring a bit meh. The sukuti was not something I would have normally ordered but was fine to try. I'm not sure if I'm just missing the point of this dish and it was done correctly, but it was not only cold but a bit gritty and tough, which I didn't care so much for.

Entrees: I had some difficulty as they were a bit pricy and none of them really jumped out. We grabbed the duck and the noodles. The duck meat itself was good. I didn't so much enjoy the vegetables it was served on top of or the sauce, but the fried rice it came with was the best part of the meal. The ramro noodles I don't feel I understand to this day. The flavoring was sort of strange in a smoky/burnt? kind of way (maybe burnt is saying too much but that's how I felt), they were lukewarm, and the vegetables were saturated in flavoring so difficult to eat by themselves.

That being said, I think this place has a ton of potential. The open kitchen concept makes you feel so close to the action. And the service is so so kind. They're also on inKind, so be sure to get a discount through that. While I didn't enjoy any of the dishes enough to come back, I certainly could see this place being a lovely option after refining the taste in a few months.

The food is incredibly delicious and the drinks are amazing as well. We ordered the beef longanisa, duck, and noodles. Everything tasted amazing. It’s also a really nice, intimate space, making it perfect for a date night or special occasion. Highly recommend Ramro!

Ramro is a Hidden Gem 💎 in Astoria, it’s been on our list to visit for a few months and we had the pleasure of checking it out on a Friday night. I recommend grabbing a reservation. We got one less then an hour before arriving. It’s an intimate dinning experience in a cosy bar/restaurant with small plates and tasty drinks. The Nepalese and Filipino dishes were excellent and filling. We wanted to try all of the appetizers and were impressed with the quality. A highlight for me was the fried clamasi cauliflower with walnuts. It was delicious. We loved the orange cream cocktail as well. It reminded me of a drink I had in Iceland last summer that was a signature of a local bar. Overall we loved Ramro, look forward to trying out more.
