I loved you. I cant believe you closed. This review is too late. Your ambience was perfect, food was great, staff was super cool. Your desserts were delicious, and also one the last places I ate with my late husband. I needed you for closure . I hope you open somewhere again, although it won't be the same. Best wishes to the owner.
I've eaten at Monika's bar over a dozen of times. Hands down the best fish tacos in Astoria are here ($5 per taco), grilled octopus is one of my favorites too.They do brunch and happy hour, and you can always find seating as the place is pretty big.

Since there is no parking in front of this location, you do not have to wait in line behind 20 people like a typical Monika's Cafe Bar There is usually one to three people ahead of you in line just before 9:00, which is why I prefer this locations to ANY Monika's Cafe Bar in Astoria NY
