Lovely place with delicious savory and sweet food options (we had avocado toast and bougatsa) and good coffee.
Amazing place. So invited. You walk in and it feels like family. The staff, especially the owner, are all wonderful. I go there with my 1 year old daughter and always get the vegan Spinach pie. OMG sooooo freaking good. I can eat so many of them but I restrict myself to one. Even my daughter loves it. She gets so happy when we stroll on into the cafe because she knows what that means. I hope to try other items but just can’t let go of that spinach pie. Ugh so good lol
Sweet Scene is a wonderful neighborhood cafe in Astoria, run by a mother/daughter team. The home cooked food is always fresh, with delights like homemade banana bread with caramel drizzle, vegan spinach pie, and delicious chocolate croissants. The friendly staff, especially the owner, make you feel like family in the cozy space. Customers love the Greek eggs, mini sandwiches, brownies, and smooth coffee, including affogatos and red eye. The cafe has comfortable seating, adorable outdoor tables, and is a great spot to work or relax. Sweet Scene now even serves beer and wine, making it a favorite weekend spot.
