Small mom/pop shop. Always a stop on our (fam of 5) weekend trip to NYC. Bought subs (italian and the bomb-fully loaded) to eat at the Giants vs. Chargers game for the next day and omg it was so good! The staff was very nice. They answered questions (for the other customers) and they had so much patience (menu was very straight foward), lol. Also, fresh mozzarella was yummy and I ate it by itself as I walked the city.

Don't forget cash only!

We'll be back next year!

The best deli sandwiches in New York! I make sure to visit every time I’m in NYC. The cold cuts are plentiful, authentic, and absolutely delicious. Great value for the size, taste, and overall quality — truly a classic experience.

Their space feels both welcoming and visually impressive. The area is richer for having this place. The remaining dishes were excellent, with spices I usually pass on. The people working displayed true warmth! Sal, Kris & Charlie's Deli maintains its quality promises.

Finally made it yesterday. I ordered the Italian combo. I got there before the lunch rush so no wait, no line. The counter guys are fast and friendly. Sandwiches are THAT big. They will ask you how many pieces you want, I’d suggest four (4). I was satisfied after eating the first section but went for two.
Cash Only.

Unfortunately, I don't shop here very much anymore due to a negative experience with one of the employees behind the deli counter. I ordered my cold cuts and paid in cash (it's a cash-only shop). I had a gut feeling that something was wrong because typically when the employees here ring you up, they tell you how much you owe. However, during this particular transaction, the employee did not verbally state how much I owed and quietly rang me up. He then gave me my change, but decided to give me back less money than I was owed. It seems he wanted to give himself a tip from my change, without my consent. I immediately verbally called him out on it, after counting my change, and he sheepishly gave me back the missing money. Customers beware - count your change.

The bomb was good but not special beyond the size. Tiny deli with quick service.

Ive been coming here my entire life i can remember, i feel like my first sandwich here was when i was about 10 and im 31 now. They still have the same staff. Support this business that takes care of their workers who are still there 2 decades later!

Among the last of the great hero shops in NYC… Place always has a line, but is worth the wait… Food is always fresh, as nothing sits long enough to settle… Lines are usually worse in summer, as there is a bike trail not too far from here, and people in the know, stop in before heading out…

They never have Zamboni, whenever I visit though…
