I'm so sad I discovered this gem as late as I did! The ambiance is very soothing with wooden tables accented by pottery made BY THE CHEF which they use for cups, side plates and ramen bowls which really brings a homey feel to the restaurant. The service was fantastic and the food was incredible!I got the tempura brussel sprouts with truffle oil to start and they were so good I wanted to hit someone! Just the right amount of tempura to give the sprouts a light crunchy texture on the outside while the insides had a perfect softness. Then, I was treated to a sensory feast for the eyes and nose when my spicy miso ramen came out. It was beautifully presented and tasted even better than I could have imagined. The soft boiled, flavored egg was cooked to perfection and added a great richness to the dish.I would solidly recommend this place for anyone who loves ramen or who is looking to try it for the first time!

Throwing in a review way too late as I think Shuya closes tomorrow. But this is/was the best ramen spot in Astoria. I hear rumors they're going to open up a Manhattan location for a few months. Until then I've got to find a new ramen

Very sad to hear it's closing on 1/15/2023. Chef promised a future project imminent, but might not be in the same neighborhood. Go for the best ramen bowls in Queens before it disappears.

Hubby and I came here for lunch. I saw Assari Yuzu Shio Ramen or ramen with clam broth, so I figured why not try it because I like clams. That was pretty good. The waitress's name was Miyuki. We talked a bit about the restaurant. Shuya's the name of the owner. There're a lot of ramen places around, and I noticed a few have tried to add some particular type of ramen, so the customers have more choices of ramen. This place has clam broth ramen with plenty of clams in it. So far, this is what I like from here. Besides the classic ramen, Hubby had a special daily box with chicken and mackerel. That was not bad too. Try it!

The best ramen in NYC— period! The broth alone is just the most flavorful I’ve ever had anywhere. Perfect low key spot for a cozy dinner/lunch. Try the wings— they’re also amazing ❤️

Excellent food~ Everytime I visit to Astoria, this is the spot I cannot miss! Authentic and delicious. Good portion (Not huge, just right). It's tiny but Salty for me, but that's just because I am on low sodium diet.Highly recommend!

I admired the interior design of the restaurant. It was spacious yet cozy. Overall incredibly clean and easy to find on Broadway. I ordered the shuya ramen which had both chicken and clam broth. I think it has that perfect umami flavor you seek in a bowl of ramen. The noodles were very chewy and since I was hungry AND it was so delicious I finished the whole bowl! The other dishes are okay, according to my friends. So if you go here definitely choose the shuya ramen or beef specialty ramen choices. I hope I return to try the wings.

Delicious food and I love the interior design, it seems everting from the small details to the entire store was carefully curated. The special bowl I ordered was very delicious and I was very full after having it. The pork bun was yum as well! I’m so glad that I find this place and will visit again!

This place was AMAZING! We had the spicy miso, the butter miso, & the vegetable ramen. All were INCREDIBLE! The atmosphere is so peaceful, and the bowls are so aesthetically pleasing. Love. Will return soon!

I have always loved it here, this review was a long time coming. My favorite part of this place is that the owner crafts his own dishes. Each piece is as unique as their food. It's a little hole in the wall, so you guys need to really open your eyes, this place is so worth it. Brussel sprouts tempura: idk why this is so good, its simple, but clever, they serve it with a side of Himalayan pink salt, which adds so much to this appetizer. Wings: not sure what this is marinated in, but wow, so crispy, packed with umami, delicious, just mouthwatering. Potato "salad" and i put "salad" in quotes, it seems that this is a deconstructed version of a potato salad? A very tiny one at that, tastes great, wish there was more that came on the plate. Pork bao buns: buns were perfectly fluffy, pork belly seasoned to perfection. No complaints here. Wagyu ramen with truffle butter broth - wow, i mean this was absolutely delicious, Wagyu was cooked perfectly, melt in your mouth and the broth with the truffle butter, wow, just wow. Unbelievably savory and at the same time so rich. Everything came together so lovely. I am absolutely coming back for more.

The potato salad, wings, spicy miso ramen, brussel sprouts was delicious. It's a place you can easily walk by when you walk in you're greeted by an amazing gentleman. He's so nice and the chef is awesome. The food was delicious it was amazing. I will definitely be stopping by again to try more of the other dishes they have to offer. The chef makes his own dishes. It's a very unique setting

Delicious food and good options for small or large ramen. Broth was tasty and noodles were perfectly cooked. We got the Brussels sprouts app and that was also good. Highly recommend.
