Walking into the bar, I could already tell it wasn’t really my vibe. I’m more of a hole-in-the-wall kind of guy—the kind of place with peanut shells all over the floor. But then I saw the owner had two of their dogs there, and that made me want to stick around.
They had a good selection of beer on tap, and the food was actually really solid—maybe a little overpriced, but hey, it’s Astoria, rent’s not cheap. What I appreciated most was the atmosphere....
