SEARCH NO MORE for your next intimate & fun party venue! CHARLIE'S, The Bonnie's sister bar right next door was everything I dreamed of and more for my 30th Birthday party. Let me set the scene for ya'll... 35 of my closest friends, Game of Thrones themed decor & fits, cocktails that made everyone say "I drink and I know things" and the most fire food in the neighborhood... the party was a SLAY. Tali, the company's event coordinator, is the sweetest, most hard-working, and detail-oriented, especially when it comes to your event. She even went above and beyond to surprise me with a GOT themed menu by naming my cocktails after details of life. For example, she named the spicy margarita after my dog, "Kevyn the Kingslayer." COME ON! How amazing is that?!Speaking of cocktails... the incredible bartender, Olivia, bartended Red Witch magic with the amazing cocktails she made for everyone. She even dressed along with the theme, with her sword, serving vibes that was giving Night's Watch combined with Red Keep of the Bar. Everyone kept raving about every cocktail she made with style and care.When it comes to the food, The Bonnie always delivers, so of course my hopes were high for Charlie's. AND MY HOPES WERE MET! The ham and cheese toastie platter was delicious. The franks in a blanket were some of the best I've ever had. The beef sliders were a HUGE hit. And there were veggie options so we had the veggie quesadilla and the mac and cheese bites which were a crowd favorite.Overall, this party at Charlie's made me feel like Daenerys Targaryen on top of her Throne, like the Queen that was promised. Thank you to the Bonnie's manager Gerard for popping in to see if everything was going smoothly as well! That was so sweet. To The Bonnie/Charlie's staff - Tali, Olivia, Gerard, barbacks - Marvin & Pascual, and the talented chefs/kitchen staff, thank you so much! Your hospitality is EPIC!

Place was super cute and love the vibe it had. I enjoyed the drinks and food was pretty good. Went during their happy hour and unfortunately I didn’t stay for their trivia night, but there is always next time.Service was great, staff were super nice.

My wife and I planned to have our wedding ceremony at Astoria Park and our reception at The Bonnie, and we're so glad the ceremony got rained out! It was so incredible having our day fully at this amazing venue. Tali and team kept us feeling secure and supported throughout the planning process and then through the unexpected turns of the weather, so grateful to have had them on Team Wedding.Our guests are still raving months later about what an incredible experience they had in the space thanks to this incredible staff. Huge shout out to the bar for the incredible custom cocktails, AND OH MY GOD THE FOOD! Thank you chef for topping off the day with an incredible culinary masterpiece. I have a friend looking for wedding venues right now, and I have absolutely told him to check out the Bonnie.A huge thank you again to the team and especially to Tali, couldn't have planned this perfect day without you. And we get to reminisce every time we come in for Sunday brunch. My fiancé and I chose to host our engagement party at Charlie's (The Bonnie) and are so so happy that we did! It's a new & beautiful, intimate space - all of our guests loved it! When our time was up, we were welcomed with open arms next door at The Bonnie to continue our celebrations. Tali was absolutely amazing from start to finish in helping us organize our event - we had such a wonderful experience with her and so appreciate all of her hard work, dedication, and attention to detail! Shout out to our bartender, Melissa, as well - she was lovely and her service was outstanding! We would 10/10 recommend Charlie's for any event without hesitation!! Really enjoyed our dinner for two here.We phoned to say we were experiencing awful transit delays & would be late to our reservation; they were totally understanding. When we arrived 25min late, they welcomed us warmly. Great start.Our server was just as friendly and very attentive.Excellent ambience in quite a beautiful & warmly decorated interior. Kind of intimate despite being a fairly large restaurant.The food was overall really good. Our shared appetizer of pickled carrots with tahini dip was ADDICTIVE nomnomnom. I had the fried fish sandwich—it was a bit overdone & a tad dry—that could be improved on, and maybe a better quality bun) and a side of chipotle sweet potato chips, which were awesome. My partner had the gnocchi, which was out-of-this-world delicious.Cocktail list looked great, but we had draft beer instead.Even though the 7 and N trains are routinely unreliable, we will come back—just will leave earlier next time.

The Bonnie is such a positive influence to the Astoria gastropub scene.The inside is so cozy and inviting.The menu although simple is always consistent when you order .The beer list is curated perfect with many selections.The fact that Allagash is always on rotation is one of the reason I prefer eating here for brunch or dinner.The staff here is always friendly - no matter how busy it is .*** start with the loaded tater tots for brunch - crunchy and delicious ***
