“The food and service was top notch at Gio’s! 10 stars! I asked for shrimp oreganata which wasn’t on the menu but they nailed it. Absolutely delicious. Had the antipasto and the Caesar salad. The most delicious unique Cesar salad I have ever had and who knew warm olives would be so delicious! I will definitely be going back! This spot is an amazing addition to AB! And Thank You to the staff for being so attentive and accommodating.”

“My in laws told us about this spot when you drive over the Atlantic Beach Bridge. Not sure about the parking situation. Still learning where you can and can’t park if you aren’t a resident. The cotton candy and s’mores mix was good. Little pricey but understandable because summer at the beach. The girl helping us could possibly work on her customer service skills.”

“My friends and I had a lovely afternoon at The Rockaway Hotel Pool house. We were greeted by a warm and friendly hostess, Isabella, who made us feel so welcomed. Our beautiful table was in the perfect spot to take in all of what the Rockaway Hotel has to offer. The outside bar and Pool house are exquisite. The pool was bustling with excitement. Our waiter, Andrew, was polite and helpful . I highly recommend coming to The Rockaway Hotel because their staff is highly professional and attentive.”

“I've never written a review before but after ordering from Knish Nosh, I had to. I've never in my life tasted such amazing food like this and to be honest I'm very critical and hard to please when it comes to food so like always I was waiting to either be let down or not that impressed but I was shocked I live in the City and I order from these guys 2 sometimes 3 times a week. “I'll try to keep this to the point —

I gave Food/Service/Atmosphere 5 🌟 because they were on par for me. For a local spot, this really took me by surprise.

What I ordered:

Miso Soup:
Standard Miso Soup, nothing groundbreaking, but very tasty. Would have loved a tad more tofu & scallion, but that's just me.

Salmon Avocado Hand roll:
Not the hand roll I expected meaning it wasn't in the cone shape I'm familiar with, but it came presented like a taco with the seaweed as the shell. Salmon cuts were huge, and with great colour, avocado was bright & ripe, coupled with the perfect amount of rice. Everything tasted clean, and fresh.

Yellowtail Jalapeno Nigiri:
I messed up with this, originally I wanted a sushi roll, but my brain flubbed. Great mistake though, because the yellowtail was delicious, practically melted in my mouth, topped with a delicate cut of jalapeno on top.

Love Milk Tea:
Honestly, just a really delicious milk tea topped with osmanthus flower. It was light, refreshing, and not too sweet thankfully.

Wagyu Tataki:
Tataki is meant to be briefly seared on the outside, but the center remains raw. Was this seared to the degree I wanted? No. But, was it delicious? Yes. And the meat was incredibly tender, flavour of the sauces really complimented everything on the plate.

I finished off with a matcha cheesecake to go, I'm sure it'll be good.

With tip, I spent $67

Again, for a local spot in Richmond Hill/Kew Gardens, I was thoroughly impressed and satisfied. Personally, with slight adjustments, these folks would do great in midtown. I spent a little under what I would spend at a restaurant in the city, and got an incredibly satisfying meal, and left full.”

*****IT USED TO BE 5 STARS*****, I used to go at night all the time when the dude that didn’t speak English worked there. But now for the last few months, he’s gone, and the pizza was NOT GOOD the last 3 times I went over the last couple months. Only at night I have eaten here. So i couldn’t tell you about the daytime.

In restaurant business, things need to be consistent, too bad no restaurants are really like this. Because people change up all the time. One little thing can change A LOT in food prep/cooking. I know. I’ve been in restaurant business for 10+ years… hope you guys can fix whatever was wrong with the pizza. I miss it lol”

The food is exquisite in presentation and taste.i have visited the location in Forest Hills also but the experience in RVC is incomparable. “Landed in the JFK airport, which is located in southside Jamaica Queens, and I was starving! I was looking for some places nearby with good ratings even though I don’t trust all the Google reviews, but this place was a 4.9 for that much reviews, somethings got to be up. Before I order the gentleman was nice enough to offer samples of jerk, chicken, and house special chicken, and they both were delicious so we ordered both
Jerk Chicken- had a hint of sweetness with the jerk spice, didn’t taste traditional, but I still enjoyed it and Wood ordered it again especially for someone who doesn’t want too much jerk heat
House Special Chicken- best way to describe this is it taste like mild hot sauce with curry seasoning, what a wonderful mix, that’s not forget the diced tomatoes, onions, cucumbers (kind of reminded me of pico de gallo minus the cucumbers) which was a refreshing balance to the mild heat of the dish, comforted by the bed of basmati yellow rice, ordered the avocado with it as well because I knew it was going to set it off!
Jerk Chicken Tacos- clever twist, luckily this was considered a side dish for me because I can eat this in two bites
Fried Chicken Quesadilla- my daughter had this, but she couldn’t finish so I decided to have the honors to finish it for her, as simple as this dish sounds, it’s not, the quesadilla was perfectly crisp, and the fried chicken itself was so buttery and crunchy, you could tell they changed their fryer oil on the regular or they use some type of special oil because I felt less guilty from the clean taste
Sauces - I forgot what they were, but one was like chipotle, the other one was like honey mustard with a touch of mango (I could be mistaken, but do yourself a favor and pour this on the chicken quesadilla), last, but not least the cilantro lime, which I drought everything with
Ladies and gentlemen, these people have earned their 4.9 stars and should be five, everything they can cooked is with effort and I’m glad they save my starvation, so when you get off the airport and you like Halal food, this is where you go!”

“Absolutely delicious! I love discovering innovative ice cream spots that think outside the box. Who would’ve thought to press a donut with ice cream and add cereal toppings? It’s honestly genius.

Everything tasted amazing and definitely did not disappoint. Naz was also incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. Thanks to her for making it such a great visit.
