We are from Syracuse, and had to go to Auburn for a Doctor's appointment near Gretchen's. Went there based on the receptionists' recommendation and boy were we so glad!I like a plain black coffee, and their coffee hit the spot.We ordered a scone and a breakfast Oats cookie. Both were top class! I will be looking forward for my Doctor visits so I can visit Gretchen's again.
Quaint local cafe with a family touch. It was my first time there, so I even got a free chocolate! Small, but super personable!

My husband and I had a very rare day together when we did not have our kids, or were working separate shifts, so we wandered out, and decided we wanted real coffee so we stopped at Gretchen's. As we walked to the door it said CLOSED, as they typically are on Mondays, however, they saw us and immediately opened the door and welcomed us in!! I was shocked!
