Farrm Wines is a hidden gem and a must-visit vineyard on the North Fork of Long Island. The owners are incredibly hospitable, inviting, and warm, offering a unique and intimate experience compared to any commercial vineyard. They are incredibly knowledgeable, leading guests through a full tasting and a detailed explanation of the organic biodynamic wine growing and winemaking process. The experience often includes a tour of the vineyard, sometimes in a truck, where visitors can see the grapes, pick some grapes, taste the different varietals, and admire the impressive organic vines, which includes a herd of rescue sheep.
The choice of wines is small but all are wonderful, fabulous, delicious, clean, and impressive. These are clean, organic, and biodynamic wines. A specific favorite mentioned is the Farrm Vineyard 2022 Red wine, a Bordeaux style. The owners care strongly for the earth, with extensive knowledge of biodynamics, putting them ahead of the wine community. The visit provides good wine, good conversation, laughter, and an adventure. It is the best vineyard experience, a truly amazing and must-do activity for a great afternoon.
