A+++++ i got the restaurant week meal tonight, they give you a whole casserole dish of deliciously crispy arancini! The chicken portofino was three portions stacked with chicken, mushrooms, red peppers, cheese and prosciutto! (took 2 portions home) We were so full that our waitress kindly offered to package our bread pudding to go, three separate containers one for the pudding, one for the sauce and another for the fresh whipped cream. Can't beat the staff, so helpful and everyone's constantly waiting on people and the decor is so cute and homey! Check out Ripe Tomato this week or any time.
We had a family trip out to see my Aunt and went to pick up dinner. I did not find the food to be particularly good. The Eggplant Parmesan was undercooked and hard, and the Chicken Parmesan dinner was overcooked. The pasta was very dry. I don't think we will eat here again.
Easily understandable why this place is so busy... when you first walk in - the atmosphere is just so warm and cozy. The service was very good - our waitress was knowledgeable regarding GF options. The menu is fairly extensive and lots of options. The food arrived quickly and was well prepared. They also have a well equipped bar. I would highly recommend the Ripe Tomato for a special night out!
Stopped in for dinner with my wife and daughter and decided to try the Chicken Parm — my favorite meal but one that often disappoints. Not this time. It was perfect: just the right thickness, crisp breading, smothered in mozzarella, and topped with a sauce that had a great garlic flavor. Easily one of the best I’ve had anywhere. I snagged a bite of my wife’s prime rib and that was excellent too. Service was quick, the staff was friendly, and the bread with garlic oil before the meal was a nice touch. No starter salad, but the generous portions made up for it. If you’re a Chicken Parm fan, this spot is absolutely worth the stop!
Waitree was wonderfully but both mine and my husband's meal were terrible. Ate one bite of chicken parm. Turkey dinner equally bad. Will never return.
Always consistent, delicious food, friendly, attentive service. Ripe Tomato is our go to for a meal we know will not disappoint. Love the cozy, warm atmosphere. It feels like going home in a way..We may venture elsewhere but always return when we are looking for a great dining experience. Pollo Tres Modos is my favorite menu item. 🍅
We had a delicious dinner last night at the Ripe Tomato. We received excellent service from Dena (Hostess) and Greta (Waitress). They were very responsive and always smiling and happy to work with us.
Dena was great. There were 20 of us for dinner. All the dishes came out the same time and hot. Prices are reasonable and the food was delicious. We go to the Saratoga race tracks every year and we will definitely be back here next year.
We had a group of 22 and Dena was fabulous. Organized and attentive. She was a well oiled machine. A great experience with a top notch waitress!
The 6 of us all enjoyed our dinners at this family owned restaurant. Sometimes, this place is listed as being in Ballston Spa (e.g., on their webite) & sometimes in Malta. They have their own parking lot, which is a plus. ZThe zRipe Tomato has separate lunch & dinner menus. If you check out the prices on their dinner menu, they are moderately priced, compared to many other restaurants. I took off half a star though, as I wasn't a fan of their Italian bread. While it was crusty, the center was hard - like it might have been reheated.

Our GPS went wacko and we found ourselves semi in the middle of nowhere (sorry Malta) at an intersection that had an old restaurant with an overflowing parking lot at 12:30 on a weekday - all New York license plates. What better recommendation? The place was cute inside. Very old-fashioned. Lots of locals. Very prompt and attentive service I had a Reuben that was perfect, the best corned beef ever and just the right amount of dressing and sauerkraut. Jayma had an unusual salad called the key card Farmer. Perfectly cooked salmon with fried goat cheese on Ris lettuce with walnuts and cranberries. It sounded strange and tasted delicious A very extensive menu and a good selection of daily specials. This is a fine medium price restaurant with excellent service. It is worth seeking out.
A great find. Atmosphere, service, and food were all excellent. I had Chicken Piccata - it was a large portion and deliciously lemony. my son had a cheese burger and said it was great. We are always in search of the perfect burger and most disappoint - this one did not. My husband has a Caesar salad with salmon - also excellent. Highly recommend. Call ahead and get a reservation though, it’s busy.
I had the fish and it was amazing! I have been all over trying different fish, like fish and chips, and it surprised me! Very Tasteful and such a nice size piece...

The food was quite delicious and we all very much enjoyed our meals and drinks, but I wish I can say the same about the service we experienced.
The wait for food was pretty average however, it was more of the fact that our waitress never came back to our table to check up on us. They missed out on a sale for another beverage, oh well. Our waitress wasn’t necessarily rude but also no attempt at to being just the littlest bit friendly.
Our wait for the bill was pretty long as well, it took one of the hostesses who was trying to leave for the night who noticed us waiting instead of the ACTUAL hostess who’s standing at the table in the center of the room by the hostess table with her back turned to the main door. We watched parents of the volleyball team come in, wait, look confused for a bit because they don’t know where to go but don’t get talked too so they look for themselves to go. The hostess that was talking to this table was very quite loud borderline obnoxious which lead us to slightly believe that she could’ve been intoxicated and not once did she leave that table.
Very sad that we our experience was like this but the food was awesome. hopefully it’s better for you
