Use to come here 3-4 times a year. Hadn’t been here in a long time. Randomly opened Restaurant.com and they were on it, so friends and I decided to do a Batavia night. So glad we did! Still amazing bbq in a cute old newspaper press. Thus, atmosphere is one of a kind. Everyone is so nice there also! Coming back in a few weeks for the Sunday bbq buffet! Also, food prices are under what you’d expect. Make sure you get the corn bread! It’s like a dessert!
I grew up eating at this place and I have to say the food is amazing and I'm not even trying to be bias, this is genuinely good north Carolina style bbq and genuinely is just good comfort food overall, the complimentary biscuits are incredible and the food is good too, personally I reccomend the bbq plater plate that is basically one of everything. However my reasoning for 3 stars is a couple things. I understand covid really ruined the local economy and economy in general...
Another hidden gem out in the wild! We were on the hunt for something new and decided to check this place out. Come to find out it was a buffet on Sundays. What all you can eat bbq? Real food in a buffet?? Oh you give a fat guy like me all you can eat fall off the bone ribs sides chicken brisket and blueberry cobbler.
