S&B consistently impresses. Awesome beverage program & great food. Definitely the best restaurant on Main St.

The chicken is unbelievable. Hard to believe a chicken entree would be the star of the show but it was

I was disappointed that alot of the things we wanted between drinks/food they were out of already and our reservation was only 630pm. The Calamari was chewy, but all the other food was excellent. The drinks were okay. I wouldn't go back unfortunately.

We had a great night out with friends! Sat at a high top in the corner of the bar with a great view of the place. Our server Michael was outstanding. Friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating. One of the best servers I've had anywhere in years. The drinks were perfect, oysters fresh and food tasty. A++

Came from queens for the oyster fest and was not disappointed. They had an oyster flight with multiple mignonettes that had me genuinely happy experiencing different flavors that compliment the oysters. Food was flavorful and service was very nice even when we messed up on an order. Ended up seeing my car in an accident while parked after but wasn’t as mad due to the flavor high I was left with. If you end up going I’ll join but I need a ride.

This was my third time back to Salt and Barrel as it is consistently delicious food and excellent service. My group's only complaint was the size of the cocktails. They have shrunk while prices have not. They come in tiny glasses filled with ice so you get 3 sips of a cocktail for $17.

One of the best spots on Long Island, let alone Bay Shore. Food is consistently fantastic and the folks who work there are simply awesome. Always look forward to the next visit.

Overpriced and under delivered; very expensive for below average food at best , menu options were not great either. Cannot see this place staying in business in a very competitive restaurant space. No issues with staff as they were friendly and welcoming, but with that being said we eat all over Long Island and there’s many other restaurants in surrounding areas with better food / drinks at better prices. I would recommend exploring other options before you tried coming here .

No need to head into Manhattan for a tourist trap—Salt & Barrel delivers the same experience right here in Bay Shore, just without the urban vibe. The waitress offered “still or sparkling” water, which most people assume means free tap or fancy bubbles. Instead, both cost $5 a pop—our table unknowingly racked up $25 just for water. Add in a $16 upcharge for three ounces of chicken on a $16 Caesar, a $17 egg sandwich, a $12 mini-mimosa, and salt in the wound: a 3.8% non-cash surcharge. Nearly $200 later, brunch left us feeling hustled instead of full.

I came for the oysters and I was absolutely not disappointed. In general, the food and service are both excellent and I cant want to return.

Hands down one of the best Seafood restaurants in the area. I would have added more pictures but I ate everything so fast. I ordered the S&B Burger with a mayan gold cocktail (bartender was on point). The server, VINCENT, was genuinely the friendliest, most helpful person of the night ( he had great recommendations). My wife decided this was going to be her new birthday restaurant. All in all 11/10 experience.

If you are looking for oysters this is the place you need to be. True oyster bar with multiple local oysters to try. The biscuits with maple butter and black salt were mouth watering amazing. We split the flounder dish, which was outstanding. The little neck clams and shrimp were excellent. Our server was as sweet as pie and on point.

The only thing I don't like is that the tables are very close together and you can literally hear other peoples conversations.
