Authentic, delicious food. I visited here with friends and the food was so good. I'm definitely coming back with my family. I got to try a little bit of everyone's dish and I was not disappointed with any of them. I had the the...Pollo alla fria (I believe that's the name), Chicken with spinach, prosciutto in a wine sauce, yummy.

Last Friday evening, my family and I had the pleasure of dining at L'Italiano Trattoria around 5:15 pm, spontaneously and without a reservation. Despite being fully booked, the staff kindly found us a table, asking only that we finish by 6:45 pm. This warm welcome was a wonderful start to our visit. The atmosphere was intimate and friendly, with many guests greeted personally, indicating a loyal and regular clientele. This charming spot is a true hidden gem, cherished by those who prefer timeless quality over fleeting trends, and it's evident in the lack of widespread online acclaim.Service was exceptionally quick. We were immediately served water and delicious complimentary bread, showcasing the staff's efficiency and expertise. Our order was taken with impressive memory, further displaying the team's professionalism. For starters, we had the Misto Oreganato, a homemade delight with a subtle breading that enhanced the flavors, particularly the white wine in the sauce. The Pasta Primavara, ordered by my sons, was thoughtfully served on two plates, emphasizing the kitchen's attention to detail. The dish itself was fresh and perfectly balanced. The Calamari Salad was a hit, featuring excellently grilled calamari with a light dressing. The Cannelloni stood out with its perfectly cooked pasta and rich ricotta filling.Opting to take our desserts home, we were thrilled with the cheesecake, reminiscent of the famous Eileen's in Nolita, and the Nutella Mousse Chocolate Cake was equally delightful.Concluding our meal with the convenience of tableside card payment, we left impressed by the seamless experience.L'Italiano Trattoria is where tradition, outstanding service, and culinary expertise come together. We eagerly anticipate our next visit, this time with a reservation, to enjoy this much-loved local gem once again.

Had dinner with two friends very recently celebrating a birthday . I am surprised I never noticed this place , as I am a fan of this style restaurant . It is kind of hidden , but a stones throw away from the LIE , on its north side . It is charming and cozy , and nearby residents must love its proximity . The wine - I am picky and did not like the house Cabernet . They do have bottles available , but we opted for half a carafe . Perhaps next time a bottle might be a good idea for those who need to really enjoy the wine . Appetizers were fried calamari , just ok for me , and baked clams which were enjoyed by all . Veal dishes were good ; Marsala and saltimbocca , both sauces good . A bed of spinach is how I have usually had it served which I like , here it was just a few sprigs , but the dish was tasty nonetheless . The seafood pasta was also enjoyed by the birthday boy . Veal dishes came with a side of pasta , or vegetables and the sauce was good . Dessert which I rarely order because I am generally disappointed being spoiled by some great nearby bakeries was the chocolate cannoli cream cake and chocolate coated raspberry sorbet . I didn’t like the cake , but you can’t go wrong with the refreshing sorbet , and I liked my espresso . Overall a good experience

My friend, Helen 'n I came here for dinner after a killer intensive workout w/ Master Joe (New York Black Belt Center--Definitely worth checking out also)..Everything is perfect, from Mama Lupo, the Front Desk service, the staff, the chef 'n the ambiance setting..Home-styled cooking which you won't be disappointed =P ..This restaurant have been around for ages 'n even survive Covid-19 pandemic when all the others shut down..It was late night, after 8:00 p.m. when Helen 'n I got here..We were planning to go Lite for an early morning workout Saturday morning, but we ended up adding on a whole bunch of stuff..We started out w/ the seafood/veggies Specials platter in white wine sauce (Forget the name, see pixs), the classic Penne Alla Vodka, Caesar Salad To-Go 'n the carbonated bottled seltzer water, Heehee..We got the full Family treatment 'n we were checked on frequently to make sure we have everything that we needed..We never felt rushed out of there like some restaurants wants us to eat 'n get out 'n even drops us the check when we're not finished..We do tend to talk a lot, especially when we w/ the girls 'n time just seem to fly..We will definitely be coming back here again, Heehee (^o^)...

This is family run place and some really good food. We were recommended by a friend and the food did not disappoint. We ordered few items and enjoyed everything. The service was great and the prices are reasonable.Definitely try the lentil soup, and calamari.

The quintessential Italian restaurant every town wishes they had. Service is friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. The specials menu is where you can find delicious Italian meals that you can't find at any run of the mill Italian restaurant. Perfect for a date night or night out with the family.
