5 stars for their Wednesday two-for-one sundae deal, 4 stars for the ice cream itself. I adore Carvel cakes, and their sundae (got the vanilla-chocolate soft serve with rainbow sprinkles and hot fudge) was delicious, but I felt kind of nauseous by the end of the sundae. I'm good for a while but really glad I came.
From the freezer I had a vanilla soft serve with caramel sauce sundae which was fresh and tasty. My daughter had a scoop of coffee and black raspberry which she said was delicious. In the past we've enjoyed the red (cherry) or chocolate dipped bonnets (soft vanilla in a cone). Staff is always nice.

You may be thinking that all Carvel locations are alike, but they're not. I have visited many Carvel locations in many states, and this one (fortunately my "home" Carvel store) is the best. The soft ice cream is consistently dense and smooth, never runny, and they have a large selections of hard ice creams and sherbets, all of which are delicious. Portion sizes are generous. The staff is friendly and helpful. Never disappointed with anything from this place.
