The guy with the ponytail is rude the cook is nice. The food is decent. I question the veracity of the farm to table/organic claims. Most of it looks like it’s just the regular supermarket stuff.

The food is good, and has a Made Here, Not Assembled Here, vibe. The portions are large. Prices are high, even considering those. (That's Bedford) Choices are mostly sandwiches, breakfast stuff. There are a few places to sit inside, plus take-out. Service is OK. It's also a small grocer, with some veg, fruit and meat from local farms. No WiFi. Toilet could use some attention.

We've just moved to Stamford from NYC and discovered The Outpost when we were exploring the area around us. What a revelation! The food is here is simply marvelous, sourced from smaller boutique farms that care about their product. We were not familiar with A2A2 Dairy until we found Farmer John, but now will drink or eat nothing else. If you order off their menu, be prepared to wait, but it's well worth it. The breakfast burrito is the best one I've ever had. The burgers incredible. Ignore the negative reviews - if you are a foodie, you won't be disappointed.

The dude with the ponytail was the rudest! My chicken salad had more skin and Cartilage then meat and mayo. The lettuce was black and slimy. Absolutely the worst.

I am so grateful for discovering a hidden gem this year known as the Outpost in Bedford. I drive up once a week, sometimes twice for the CSA box full of fresh organic fruits and veggies. While there I always pick up great soups, prepared foods, meat from John Boys farm and bakery items to get us through the week. I never have to worry about the ingredients because the owner, John Ubaldo only sources from organic farms. If you've ever watched the Bullish Farmer on Netflix you know that John takes organic old fashioned farming to a new level. (He even grows his own organic food to feed his animals) The storefront is no frills but has a welcoming neighborhood vibe, the team puts a smile on my face and I always leave having a few good laughs. The catering is second to none around here. I had a wine tasting for 25 and head chef Tom Dugal whipped up an array of savory hors d'oeuvres and beautiful charcuterie boards that my guests were raving about. The team at the Outpost works hard to put healthy, delicious, organic and sustainably sourced food on our table. John Boy's farm and the Outpost are the future of food. This place is food magic and I am so grateful for them

We moved to Bedford nine months ago and honestly one of the best parts of the move has been the amazing food and people at The Outpost. They make you feel like family. They are so dedicated to ethical farming practices and you will never eat better tasting food. You can truly taste the difference. We are so grateful to have found this place.

Amazing burgers, cuts of meat, vegetables, breads and staples. Delightful custom made sandwiches and one of the best burgers ever. Everything is super fresh and the staff were very helpful!

After returning back from their deployment, the Outpost treated the 10th CAB Soldiers to a free lunch during their 2 week quarantine. The food was fantastic and very much appreciated by our Soldiers. Knowing very well that restaurants are struggling during this period, the Outpost still found a way. Because of thier good deed, my family and I will always seek out their services first before we decide on a dining facility. Thank you Outpost!

Lunch options abound- I love the turkey club, their roast beef, anything with the house bacon, great sodas and yummy desserts. Excellent coffee too. The vibe is low key, and like having lunch at a very casual farm to table restaurant. The food is all organic, non GMO as John Boy has created something very special in town. Go for breakfast, go for lunch, go after a movie at the Bedford Playhouse, just go...
