As expensive as the best NY places but nit quite at the same level of overall food quality.

Classic continental cuisine, but unpretentious energy. Food is excellent and consistent. Service is friendly and attentive.

We went for our anniversary and it was also restaurant week. The food was good and the chocolate soufflé was amazing..The service was awesome and very attentive to details. Great atmosphere-great night

Where else in America can you get---especially in one meal-- quenelles de brochet (small fish dumplings made of pike with a sauce nantua)? And really the best ris de veau (sweetbreads) imaginable, crispy but succulent, and crèpes suzette? OK, so the food is not cutting edge or frou-frou . There are establishments that specialize in such fare, and occasionally we eat at them. But they've been doing classical French cuisine, buttery sauces and all, at La Crémaillère since before my father started going there in the 1950's, and no one does it better. Some ups and downs occurred over the years, of course, including a foray into a fish-only format better suited to Le Bernardin than upper Westchester. This restaurant is today at its peak, and while it's expensive, it's not THAT expensive. It was perfect for our anniversary--food, service and the milieu--all impeccable.

Dinner was nothing short of amazing, as always. I love the sophisticated, warm and welcoming vibe of the restaurant. You really feel like you are in Paris for a few hours! Great wine and drink list and amazing service round out a wonderful evening.

Service is excellent! Amuse buche was nice. Roasted Butternut squash veloute, Aromatic Salad, Chicken Ballotine were all delicious. Chocolate soufflé with chocolate ice cream as well as sorbets were outstanding!

La Crémaillère is BACK! After the disastrous detour as "Poisson," the re-opened original version is possibly better than ever. Dined there last night (11/02/25) and the food & service were simply excellent. Our family has been celebrating special occasions there for almost 50 years but, after one experience at Poisson, I swore I'd never return. Now I am pleased to say it is SO good to have the original back! Highly recommended!

I had a superb dinner tonight with my wife and another couple. Our server Mario was truly exceptional and our dinners were delicious. The beet salad and crab cake started us off and were excellent. I had the Chilean Sea Bass and my wife the Filet Mignon. Great taste, cooked to my liking, all with Mario's very attentive service. For dessert I had the Grand Mariner Soufflé with a cappuccino and the nice pastry's that they brought to us were very thoughtful...and yummy. They deserve 5-stars because everything from the start to the finish was a delectable and memorable experience. Thank you!!!

We dined at this French-inspired restaurant, and while the food was truly delicious, the overall experience had a few rough edges.

The ambiance is lovely - elegantly decorated to transport you straight to Paris. The lighting, decor, and even the background music create a charming European atmosphere. The menu features beautifully written French dish names that add to the immersive feel.

We started with a light and flavorful asparagus salad, followed by a perfectly cooked pork chop served with creamy mashed potatoes and fresh green peas. Everything was thoughtfully prepared and tasted amazing. The real standout, though, was the dessert - absolutely incredible and beautifully presented. Whole new experience if you will.

However, the service wasn’t quite as polished as the setting. When my wife tried to order by reading the French name of the dish directly from the menu, our waiter didn’t seem to understand what she meant, which led to a slightly awkward and unexpected moment in such a themed restaurant.

Also the area where we were seated was quite noisy, making it difficult to hear my friends and enjoy the visit.

In short, the food exceeded our expectations, and the setting was charming, but the service kept the experience from being fully relaxing. Still, if you’re after great French cuisine with a side of Parisian flair, this spot is well worth a visit.

Lovely fixed price brunch for Bastille Day. The chef is gone but a loyal staff remains along with an excellent new chef.
