Classic French cuisine. Escargot had double the normal portion. Oysters were super fresh. Ordered Dover Sole and the special - a Roasted Guinea Hen for entrees - both perfectly seasoned and delicious sauces. The chocolate soufflé dessert was the perfect finish to an excellent dinner,
We could not have enjoyed our evening more. The beautiful setting, warm ambiance and charming decor were only enhanced by the superb service and outstanding meal.
Excellent food service was phenomenal. The ambience was always something special and continues to be glad to see this old landmark is back in business.
Absolute worse New Years Eve dinner ever. Flavorless, bland, slow service and tough Dover Sole!!

Lovely experience. Service was very attentive but not pushy. Traditional French cooking, which was delicious. Best of all, the noise level was low and the four of us actually had a pleasant conversation without having to yell!
Since we moved to the area we have been looking for a new favourite restaurant. We wanted something with good food, a nice but relaxing atmosphere, and staff that make you feel welcome. We found everything we were looking for and more. La Crémaillère has become our go to for special events and date night. We go 1-2 times a month minimum and the menu is constant, but has enough new items and options to keep guests coming back for me.

Dinner was good, service was decent. Lots of different people involved in the service. lobster soup app was....something. Maybe it's just not my thing, but it was really fishy. Also had a surprising dark brown color? Martinis were just meh. Overall just a meh experience
The ambience was amazing. Perfect for a date night or special occasion. The food was impeccable . Our favorite dish was the rack of lamb special. My husband got the venison was also delicious.
Delicious, gourmet food and attentive service. An intimate setting with charming French decor.
This restaurant has gone downhill. The food lacks flavor. The service is fair. Will not return anymore after all these years.

As expensive as the best NY places but nit quite at the same level of overall food quality.
We held a memorial celebration lunch at the restaurant and it was excellent in all aspects- food service atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Classic continental cuisine, but unpretentious energy. Food is excellent and consistent. Service is friendly and attentive.
We went for our anniversary and it was also restaurant week. The food was good and the chocolate soufflé was amazing..The service was awesome and very attentive to details. Great atmosphere-great night
Where else in America can you get---especially in one meal-- quenelles de brochet (small fish dumplings made of pike with a sauce nantua)? And really the best ris de veau (sweetbreads) imaginable, crispy but succulent, and crèpes suzette? OK, so the food is not cutting edge or frou-frou . There are establishments that specialize in such fare, and occasionally we eat at them. But they've been doing classical French cuisine, buttery sauces and all, at La Crémaillère since before my father started going there in the 1950's, and no one does it better. Some ups and downs occurred over the years, of course, including a foray into a fish-only format better suited to Le Bernardin than upper Westchester. This restaurant is today at its peak, and while it's expensive, it's not THAT expensive. It was perfect for our anniversary--food, service and the milieu--all impeccable.
