One of a very limited number of choices for pre Caramoor performance dining. The service is always good and we come here quite frequently during the summer to sit on the lovely terrace. There are a couple of things that could be improved starting with the delivery of the menu. During covid, the restaurant switched to a bar code. This was back when we didn’t know how the virus was spread. Now we know that menus don’t spread the virus. The internet service is poor and let’s face it, nobody wants to read a dinner menu on a tiny screen. Please bring back paper menus!!! The other issue we had last night was that two of three menu items didn’t resemble what we thought we were ordering. They were both very good, so that wasn’t a problem but the waiter should probably have mentioned when we ordered that the black pasta was going to be green and not black and that the cold squash soup was green. It looked like it was more avocado than squash. As I said, both were good, just not what we anticipated from the description in the menu. It’s not impossible that we didn’t see a full description on the menu since it was so hard to read..but my husband’s pasta was most definitely green with no hint of black! None the less, we will be back. The scallops were delicious. I’m pescatarian and they were wrapped in bacon but that was easy to remove. Had the menu been printed, I would have caught the bacon part! A couple more vegetarian options would be nice but the menu is limited.

Bizarre and disheartening experience. On a frigid night our reservation made a month prior earned us a table just feet from the busy front door, the endless openings and closings of which swept in bone-snapping cold air. When we asked for a different table we were dismissively told we could dine outside. It was 18F! When we objected to this we were ordered to leave by the ginger-haired hostess (manager), to whom polite customer service is surely an anathema and who herself is a stranger to composure and decorum.

Allowing extra leeway for Covid, I placed an order for a special Xmas Eve dinner a week in advance, but needed to make a small dietary change to the soup course. The restaurant has no voicemail box and the hotel cannot help since it is a separate entity. The restaurant does not even have an email address, only a contact form on their website. After many unanswered attempts, I spoke to a live person twice, both who promised an answer which never came. Finally two days before the pick up, which I had already paid for, the kitchen said it was not possible because my request was too late. They even declined to allow me to pick up the four person dinner, thirty minutes earlier than planned. This is a place that does not understand the value of a customer, and puts the capricious whims of the kitchen first. Many reviews here complain about problems with the experience, and I can tell you it is coming from the top down.

Food was lovely as always. We had Maria take our order and she was the most lovely women! Soo kind and welcoming and she really made our experience fantastic.. especially during the restrictions.
Service was really good, but table was booked and there was still a delay and there was hair found in the starter which ruined the whole meal, especially coming from another town the food was a let down.
