First time that we have visited this restaurant, somewhat upon the recommendation of a bartender at another joint nearby. The waitress was very sweet and attentive, well as much as she could be, because she was very overworked and was serving 10 of the 12 tables inside. We were told they had a fairly diverse menu, that part is true. But sometimes keep in mind if you diversify too much you aren’t really good at making any one thing. The General Tao’s chicken is chicken nuggets with a tangy teriyaki sauce, combined with soggy steamed vegetables. It was gross. The stuffed haddock was OK. About as much as you can do with a bland whitefish, some artichoke and Parmesan cheese. The kids really enjoyed the turtle cheesecake. That’s about the only dessert probably worth ordering again. The pie crusts were extremely bland and dried out. And our children are now meatball critics after forcing down some dry and fairly tasteless meatballs over the ravioli. Not a great experience. Especially when there are better restaurants within a half mile. Also, if you’re looking to pair your dinner with a nice wine, please look elsewhere. The only thing on the menu are individual tiny bottles of Barefoot. Definitely not our choice of venues, will not return. Still confused why the parking lot is so busy all the time…

If you're a foodie you need to stop what you are doing (other than reading this) get in your car and drive. Destination: The Springs restaurant. Chef Dan is a genius. This place, the food specifically, reminds me of Shopsins in NYC without the possibility of being thrown out for ordering too slowly. Yes I saw it happen. They tossed my buddy 'cause he was slow. He was warned by several people beforehand to have is sh-t together and when old man Shopsin came to take the order he fiddle-faddled and got the boot. But I'm here to talk about the food at The Springs. It's outstanding. It's memorable. It's all made from scratch. The menu is really good but the Daily specials are what you want to get into. How does this guy cook so many different things and do it all so deliciously well?? You can't go wrong. Throw a dart and tuck in. I've been a #SuperFan for years, 10 if not more. Recently I had the Pork Schnitzle. Crispy, crunchy and juicy. Sour & slightly sweet German potato salad with red cabbage rounded things out perfectly. Then I had the Ruben sammich. Perfection. Tangy, crunchy, juicy. The cornbeef was as good as the cornbeef I would get from Carnegie Deli in NYC back in it's heyday. The marbled rye was toasted and grilled to perfection. Ok, deserts. This guy makes all of them. From scratch!! I had the snowball which is a flowerless chocolate cake slathered in whipped cream. #Drooling. Not too sweet. Cherry Cobbler is great as well. Pops had the Beef on Wick. Hoovered it. Ma had fish, not sure what kind but practically ate the to-go box. PS Everyone is super friendly so if you're a sourpuss #pass

My boyfriend and I ate here on a Friday night between 4:30 and 5:00. We got in and served pretty quickly. The food and atmosphere were terrific.

Got the Chicken tacos, and were good. At first glance aylt the price, it seemed a bit munch, but the tacos were jammed packed, easily worth 5 dollars a piece, however a family of 4 costs with a tip 90.00, and for this day in age I guess that's reasonable.

Had been a reliable dining option with quality food and perhaps too many offerings. The chef owner knows his stuff. We're stunned at our second visit this summer to find their previously reasonable prices now at the same level as other fancier local eateries. Disappointed.

Clean & comfortable - large portions - friendly service and very well prepared food. A little pricey, but well worth it.
