Opa Grille Reviews
Husband & I were in the area & decided to stop in for lunch today & glad we did. I had the Lamb Gyro, came w/french fries & Beef Barley soup. Soup was delicious. Gyro had plenty of meat (lamb) w/lettuce, tomatoes & onions. All very fresh. Husband had Falafel which he said was absolutely delicious. We had a great lunch. The staff were very nice and attentive & restaurant was cheerful & clean. We will definitely be coming back to try their dinner next time. Highly recommend Opa...read full review
I have been a patron of Opa for a very long time...since it first opened and the candy store was next door. It was always my go to for Greek food. Sadly, that is no more. Opa Grille is a charming restaurant near the Bethpage LIRR with a cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. They offer delicious lunch specials like Chicken Gyro and Chicken Souvlaki served with a cup of soup and Greek salad. The lemon chicken soup was a pleasant surprise, not too sour and served warm. The Greek salad was generous with toppings, including a tasty stuffed grape leaf. The Combo of Three appetizer with garlic dip, hummus, and stuffed grape leaves was a hit, especially the flavorful hummus. Guests are treated to complimentary pita bread and tzatziki. The restaurant provides unlimited pita bread and yogurt sauce throughout the meal. The three combo cold appetizer and large Greek salad were described as amazing, with fresh ingredients and well-balanced flavors. The Falafel sandwich had a mild spicy kick and was filled to perfection. Many customers praise the consistent great food and friendly service, noting that staff always greet warmly and remember regular orders. The tzatziki is especially appreciated for its freshness, and the Dolmades are considered perfection. The big salad is enough for a second meal, and the lemon soup is enjoyed by many. Overall, Opa Grille is a top choice for well-prepared Mediterranean dishes, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere.
