Good-natured banter all around.As a woman in a predominantly male bar, I was included in the conversation, and had a great time. “I do not eat fast food ever because it makes me very, very sick. My husband and I decided to get breakfast this morning at the Wendy's in Bohemia. First, the store was IMMACULATE! The employees were very courteous and kind and seemed genuinely happy to be working. We ordered the breakfast burrito combo. I ordered it with bacon and my husband ordered sausage. They offer a side and a drink. We both chose the seasoned potatos and orange juice. The burrito was absolutely delicious! They made it with a fried egg instead of scrambled eggs which was a nice surprise! There was ample bacon/sausage and cheese and they had some of the seasoned potatos in the burrito as well. The tortilla shell was very fresh and soft. As I indicated in my opening sentence, I usually don't tolerate fast food. This breakfast was amazing!!! I was pleasantly surprised! I ate every last morsel and enjoyed every bite!! I would definitely recommend this location because it was very clean and the employees were pleasant. The breakfast burrito was perfect and I ordered Cinnabon bites which I brought home. I will definitely come back to Wendy's for breakfast and may even try other items!!!“

“We found Local Burger last year and have visited many times since. The food is delicious, the service is fantastic and the Owner, Alyssa truly cares about her customers. Last visit we had Kerri as our server and she really did great. We opted to sit in the back to avoid the Saturday night crowd. We were concerned the service might be slow because we were the only ones in the back but we were wrong. Kerri came back within the first 5 minutes to greet us and take our order, she was friendly and pleasant. Our drinks came back just a few short minutes later followed by our food shortly after. Kerri also came back pretty regularly to check on us. All in all, we had a great experience at Local Burger. If you want a good burger, I highly recommend you try it if you haven't already. Also, this is a small business so better to support them than the big, corporate chains that only care about money.“

“I had the experience to try Millie’s and boy oh boy was it special. From the moment you step in its groovy vibe from disco balls on the ceiling to the checkered floors. Sitting at the bar I was greeted quickly and friendly by the staff. They offered some great alcohol choices to start, even offering samples of some new choices. For food I tried their chicken sandwich, the crusha and mozzarella sticks. The chicken had a great crust and a juicy inside with the toppings sealing the deal. The crusha also hit the nail on the head a wonderful tasting burger and the bacon jam tied it all together. Of course going 3 for 3 the mozzarella sticks did not miss either, although 4 sticks was a sad surprise 5 is standard from my experience. I left with a full belly and a new go to spot whenever (literally) I’m craving a good burger and a good time.

“Wanted to give a huge shout out to the Tap Room (Patchogue) (specifically the Patchogue location). We were invited to a family party, buffet-style. I reached out to the restaurant via email, because I wanted to make sure they could accommodate my daughters food allergies -- eggs, soy, sunflower seeds, tree nuts and peanuts, or I would plan ahead and pack snacks she could safely eat instead. The Culinary Director, Joseph Walsh, called me the next day. He spoke to me for awhile, went over her food allergies, made some suggestions, and assured me that he would come up with something she could safely eat. The morning of the party, he sent me an email to confirm we were coming and his suggestions for a safe meal (rice and beans sauteed with bell peppers, chicken cutlet w/ no egg, and a mixed fruit salad). I emailed him back that just rice and beans and the fruit salad would be fine, because she doesn't eat chicken. He emailed me back, concerned that rice and beans and a fruit salad wouldn't be enough, but I assured him it would be fine because she's only 7 and has anxiety over trying new foods at restaurants (understandably), so sticking with rice and beans and fruit salad, which she's comfortable with, would be perfect. At the event, Joseph told my relative that he wanted to talk to us, and when we arrived, he came to introduce himself, told me that he was making sure everything was prepared separately and would be ready for her shortly. Absolutely fantastic service. We truly, truly appreciated all his care and effort, because that's sadly not the norm most of the time when we try to eat out. “I didn't even realize this Friday's was here, so many have closed that I used to frequent. Our server was Anthony B and he was lovely. He reviewed our entire order before walking away, our food was delicious and came quickly. He checked on us several times and a very pleasant attitude. “My family and I visited on Sunday, November 16, 2025, and had Gianna as our server. She greeted us with a smile and gave us time to decide what we wanted to order. She made appetizer recommendations, and we went with the loaded fries.

The main meal arrived HOT; maybe I should have waited just a minute to sample my skillet meal! Gianna was always available for us and made sure that our glasses were never empty. She is a valuable asset to Applebee's East Islip.

“Ive always love checkers since I was a kid and this location has always been a favor for people around here. There's a large outdoor sitting area. That's nice for lunch during the summer. Every time I go here, no matter what time of day the staff is always extremely friendly and put out the food quick too. You also have to try the fries !“
