Service and atmosphere excellent. Food was overall great!
We have been in this place a few times 3-4 years ago, and very pleased with food and atmosphere, so we went again this year. Unfortunately we found that food is not as it used to be. The service was very good, the same with atmosphere, but food was very disappointing. The salmon was cooked well but with too much salt, same was with rice which was very salty. Cates is truly a gem in Bolton Landing! From the moment we walked in, the experience was absolutely wonderful. The hostess was incredibly sweet and welcoming—it instantly made us feel at home and honestly made us want to come back again before we even sat down.
