Are here for breakfast and dinner while staying at the resort. Breakfast offers a la carte or an extensive buffet with plenty of options including Eggs Benedict, made to order omelettes, etc... Dinner was a treat. Everyone enjoyed their meals.

A Very nice dinner.. probably the best restaurant on Lake George. The food was very good with plenty of variety. The service is good considering it’s seasonal. The ambiance can’t be topped.

Did our group just have a bad night?
Service was slow... waited a long time for drinks and then had to request that they take our dinner order. It was so late we decided mostly to forgo appetizer.
Food was really slow coming, some meals were luke warm. At least.half the table of 8 said there meals were only 'meh' to actually bad. I had the Chicken Saltmibacca and it was bad... thick cut chicken, heavily breaded, tasteless sauce. Not at all what I expected for our 'spluge' meal of the vacation.
We asked for separate checks (bad... I know) - but they came all jumbled up and it took forever to get them straightened out. The manager seemed so bothered that I asked him twice to help get it fixed.
It was a beautiful place and we had an awesome table on the patio ... I guess that alone was somewhat worth the price of the meal.

The rest of the experience sums up as follows:
Would never return
We were told no outdoor seating and
With great reluctance from the hostess
We chose an indoor table with a view of water
The hostess said the table had be cleaned and asked us to wait at hostess podium
I noted the hostess didn’t inform the male host this table was for us
Male Host then seated a table of 4 at our table
My husband approached him and his response was “ well nobody told me that”
2 clueless hosts and male host rude & brusk
We eventually were seated and then took forever for drink order and so we ordered dinner when drinks came bc we could see the staff was rushed & everything off kilter
No sense of enjoying our cocktail at all and zero warmth from staff
Our meals arrived & I said to my husband that’s not what you ordered
A looooong wait to have his correct meal brought to table
And I mean loooong
No asking me “ would you like the meal heated up”
Waiter said” the bus boy picked up the wrong meal”
Zero apology
I said to my husband
Make sure your charged correctly as this restaurant is sloppy
Sure enough he was charged for the incorrect meal which was more expensive than what he ordered
The waiter was again non apologetic
And why charge $20 to enter the resort when it was self park & we had to park a good distance from the entrance to the main hotel
If you take the time to see all the reviews I have posted over several years almost all are 5 star
Im not sure I’ve ever posted such a poor experience. The venues we chose to dine at are at top resorts/ restaurants which Sagamore might be for its view but has a long way to go in experience & service

Came here with a large group (8) for my sister’s bachelorette. We were all staying at the Sagamore and she requested this restaurant. Our server DUJON was nothing short of terrible. Genuinely we all couldn’t believe that we were at a resort paying the money we were paying for such awful service. Everything he did took ridiculously long amounts of time, to the point where we would need to go indoors to find him just to get simple things like our checks, our checks BACK once we gave them to him, our to-go boxes, etc. I know he must have assumed that because my sister and her friends were young, they likely weren’t going to tip. So he prioritized his other tables, obviously. But that was the wrong move. Her little friends had plenty of money and I actually was the one that stopped all but two of them from tipping a single cent. He *never* refilled our waters, *never* checked on us once, didn’t even deliver our food or anything! What his purpose was, I do not know. He even had the nerve to come to the table once we were all done and laugh asking if we wanted a refill on water. Who hired this clown? Food was delicious, portion size was great, environment was lovely. But Dujon has got to go. He would be better suited at Olive Garden, truly.

I celebrated my 40th birthday in classic style - having breakfast at the esteemed Sagamore Resort. When hubby tried calling for reservations, we didn't realize that seating was first come, first serve basis, so we decided to get an early start and arrive just at opening at 8:30AM.
Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly, and asked if we wanted to sit outside overlooking the lake, or inside, and we of course said outside. We had prime seating on the terrace and enjoyed the lush greenery and the lake waking up. There was a comfortable breeze that made the whole experience top notch. Our waiter, Fabian, was super sweet, friendly, and full of smiles. We decided to do the al a carte option as opposed to the buffet, even though many of the other patrons who were staying at the Sagamore did do this. I had my heart set on the thick cut stuffed French toast, because it's fancy and I'm 40 now so why not - while hubby got their lobster eggs benedict. The food came out beautiful and was just as delicious! My french toast was piled high with berries and powdered sugar, and hubby's eggs came with rosemary roasted potatoes. We cleaned out our plates happily.

Most food was ok and that has price taken into consideration. Fruit was somehow outstanding comparing to their food.
Great service. I would probably explore restaurants outside more next time because their food was just not there.

Beautiful setting. Exceptional hotel and location. Sunset views. Ask for the balcony. The food was pricey and decidedly average. And surprisingly unaccommodating to children’s menu needs. Forced the family to split up to eat because the bar menu is different. Very strange experience.
