Cool stop on a long trip! I had been looking for an ice cream place for the past hour. A scoop of chocolate almond, a scoop of caramel, and rainbow sprinkles. The texture wasn’t quite what I am used to for hard ice cream but it was yummy and made me happy to continue on the journey home.
Anytime you're traveling from Utica to Watertown or vice versa, you have to stop at Mercer's. The ice cream is fantastic. The portions are huge and the people are so friendly. Give it a try! My family loves it there!

We have tried hundreds of ice cream places all over the state and Mercers is by far our number one favorite. We will go for a drive to just get Mercers. You can tell it’s homemade. Their vanilla and chocolate ice cream is the absolute best. There is no better!! They have many flavors, soft serve, wine ice cream, ice cream cakes and more. Also fresh waffle cones. You have to stop! Have been going for over 10+ years.
